I am a Dis-fellowshiped witness, forgive and foreget pray read the Bible. I found out that I did not have the ability to read the Bible on my own as a witness for 20yrs. I am a better reader now. The things God has taught me since my more truthfull search is that I will not be free from pain in this life. If one keeps seeking and trys hard to do God's will one will still have pain because we are not perfect as God is perfect, which is the only thing that we would have to be in order to be given life. Since we are not however, there is going to be suffering. Yet this life is SO short and the new life in the promised re-creation Jesus spoke of will be great. I am a believer in the fact that this life is not all there is. And if it was then enjoy the dream untill you die and go back to the pit from which you sprang. If it is not all there is then by all means enjoy yourself because God wants you to and try to find him and do his will as much as you can. Because even though we can not be perfect as God is, and thus fully happy, we can try. This both reveals our heart to us and to God and gives us a chance at the most happness that we can have now, as well as a hope for the future. Be strong and true to yourself, yet try not to give in, my Brother. Core88

MOve on!???
by Core88 inok so i am a ex-witness,(disfellowshiped) i have posted here before...but i must say why have'nt we moved on?
come on i mean if we all really thought that the jw sect was just that then why are we not trying to forget it and let life go on as it has; and try to be true to ourselves and our neighbor and read jesus words as recorded in the bible?
i have been reading my bible on lunch breaks at my work, as well as reading in the dhammapada.

I have been reading my Bible on lunch breaks at my work, as well as reading in the Dhammapada. I find that the words of the Budha are quiet wise. Can't we just seek God and/or "truth" and let go of the watchtower? After all the more thinking about "it" (the watchtower) and talk about it the more we make it the very thing that it wants to be. A powerfull influence in our lives! If you in your heart of hearts truly feel that there is no truth in the Jehovah's Witness organization, then by all means...MOVE ON! P.S. However if that is not so then find out more about it and follow it, if you want. Core88

What is the "Unforgivable Sin?"
by mkr32208 ini know the pat answer is "grieving the holy spirit" but how does one do that?
i asked some elders who were attempting to meet with me but they seemed unsure... .
publicly!

Mkr32208, um you might want to stop lieing about all the fucked up stuff you claim to have done. It seems easy for me to see but if you were'nt being "tongue and cheek" about all the events you said that have happened, and actually told the truth, to the elders. You would be disfellowshiped right now and not be in the limbo type "hell" you desribe, then you would have relief from the problem you seem to have. Core88

"In my family, I believe the unforgivable sin to be....Baptism. My sister and brothers did the same things I did, but because they weren't baptized, my parents still talk to them." Good point Lisa!

Gas Prices Today Are Cheaper Than Years Ago
by JW_Researcher inflyinghighnow wrote:
so there was no fighting before the bush administration?
ahem, tell us, what were gas prices before the bush admin?

I make the same hourly wage as I did before bush took office...many families I know have been through allot of changes in the past few years and make less at there new jobs then there old ones, and prices in gas are more for all of us; making it a "real life" hard ship, at least for me and the people I know. I am sure I am not the only one finding it hard to make ends meet because of gas prices. Core88

Name 10 people here you would have loved to have at your book study
by JH in.
don't forget that we need an elder and a few ministerial servants, and a couple of sisters

I went to a bookstudy for 4 years that was in an elders nice full basement, after every BS me and him would play pool on his pool table get soft drinks from his refridgerator and have snacks from his candy jars. Sometimes there would be music and others a full blown pitch in dinner or cook out after.

Sort of morbid question
by unbeliever inthis came to my mind after i read 24k's would you go back thread.
just say when armageddon came jehovah gave you one last chance to repent of your apostate ways and live for eternity with jw's.
would you take jehovah up on this offer or ask him to strike you dead?

Thanks. Hi everyone. This is my first day on these forums...not much interaction with others who know where "get it" since I was disfellow shiped 2yrs ago. Nice to find a place to talk about what was the last 20 yrs of my life with people who have been there and know where I am comeing from. I hope to meet some friends here and thank you for the welcome!
