That was interesting. I remember someone asking me that before and another person (nonJW) said it was because we didn't the devil looking in. I was always told that it was because of vandalism. And I do recall seeing a KH with windows once.

I'm actually a little confused as to why you are still reading the literature. Since I new here( only a few days), I don't know everyone very well. Are you in between leaving and staying?
But back to what you were asking... Yeah it pretty much makes sense to me. The make you feel like you've done all the research because your reading from the sources they quote. I remember when I was younger doing a report using the Watchtower and Awakes, and the other publications as sources. I felt so much smarter than the other kids because my religion not only taught from the bible but had various facts from other historian to back up there arguements. They know most people are not going to actually double check the references anyway, because the quote like a million of them for one freaking article.

So can apostates attend jw weddings now?
by LeftBehind ini have been officially gone from the witnesses less than 2 months but i know they are always coming out with new light.
i got a shock today when i was invited to a cousins wedding that will be held in a kh.
i am not invited to the reception.

Parking lot encounter, but not with JW's...
by DesertRat inyesterday (monday) while getting out of my car in a supermarket parking lot, i was approached by two well-dressed young men carrying bibles.
at the first instant i froze, thinking that they were 'you-know-whos.
' it should have occurred to me right then, from the fact that both were wearing white shirts, black ties, & name tags, that i was not dealing with jw's.. my immediate response was to say that i was not interested but thanks anyway.

Actually the church that my family was going to before studying with Jehovah's Witnesses came to our door. They also showed us the same scriptural command about going house to house. But other than them( they were baptist), I had never heard of other religious organizations doing it. Now I got to watch out for them too! Great.

me and my wife (faithful jw) had a problem with an evil pioneer sister elder's wife in our former hall.
through the course of trying to work it out we decided we would be better off in another hall.
