  Judicial committee experiences.

  recently ive been doing a lot of research on judicial committees, as my friend is currently going through one, as mentioned here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/118972/1.ashx

  i just posted an update.

  one thing ive noticed in my research, is that there is no scriptural support to back up the judicial committee system.

  My mother cried and begged for them not to disfellowship her and they did. I was truly shocked. I mean she begged. I don't know how they could be so cold-hearted. Incidently it was the same brothers on my JC, that Df'd me.

  why are departing jw's bitter?

  i say the bitterness is directly proportional to the amount of emotional committment we made to their teachings.

  if we accepted them wholeheartedly, the bitterness was immense as we discovered the lies and coverups, while getting the blame on the missed date predictions, and seeing the ever-increasing legalistic structure of the society, not to even mention the shunning by loved ones who still remain.

  I think mostly I was confused when I decided to quit. I wanted to believe, but I felt like things did not add up. At my congergations, most were good people trying to put God first. We had a few elders who were harsh but I think in their own warped mind they thought they are up holding God's standards. I'm more mad about now because I see how bad some people have been treated by their families and how thousand of people end up uneducated for no reason.

  My only regret or feeling of bitterness is not staying close to my sisters (from fathers first marriage) and their mother. When she died of Cancer I did not know until it was too late to say goodbye because my mom and the teachings of JW's had drilled into me that they were bad association. Those are things you can't ever get back or makeup for.

  I can't hold the bitterness to me though or they (JW's) win. They say you can't be happy out of the organization but I intend to prove them once again to be incorrect.

  Well, his family probably just thinks they will see him in the "new system". Now wouldn't it be funny if he was in Heaven looking down at his family waving his arms and yelling "Don't believe the hype". hehe

  COLLEGE!

  oh, so in the midst of everything else, college is goin well.. about 30 % of my high school graduating class came here, so its really just like high school part2.

  i have 2 morning classes, and 2 night classes, so that way the majority of my schooling gets done on 2 days of the week instead of 4. last night was my first night in my english 111 class.

  i already knew thaqt there was one witness in there, but its someone who i've kept up with, and someone who is cool with me, as i am.

  Richie, I think you should just be polite and talk to only about the assignment. Make her feel like an azz for trying to be holier than thou. She will only make herself and Jw's look bad.
