I remember my baptism, it was May18, 1996. I started to doubt in 2003, but keep going thinking it was because I was inactive that I was questioning my belief. That I had lost my relationship with Jehovah. But July 23. 06, after attending the district Convention and hearing them talk about independant thinking (alarms ringing) and How Jehovah loves the elderly (still waiting on D-day), I was kinda disguisted. I didn't feel it anymore, so I got on the internet and here I am. HOME, SWEET HOME!

Everyone has a song
by Wordly Andre ineveryone has a song that reminds them of a particular moment in their lives, happy or sad or sometimes indifferent.
its only that when you hear that song it takes you back even catching you off guard and suddenly your back in high school or remembering someone you loved and lost.
how many of you have a song that reminds you of leaving the org.

Feelin So Good by Jennifer Lopez - It's exactly how I feel about leaving the borg and living my life and I play it every moring to remind to be grateful that I'm free
When I opened up my eyes today
Felt the sun shining on my face
It became so clear to me that everything is going my way
I feel like theres no limit to what I can seeGot rid of fears that were holding me
My endless possibilities
Has the whole world opened for meThats why Im feeling...
Chorus: Im feeling so good
I knew I would
Been taking care of myself
Like I should
cause not one thing
Can bring me down
Nothing in this world gonna turn me round...
Now the day is turning into night
And everything is still going right
Theres no way you can stop me this time
Or break this spirit of mine
Like the stars above Im gonna shine
Anything I want will be mineTonight Im gonna have a good time
Call a few friends of mine
cause Im loving lifeAnd tonights for feeling... -

Women in the Org.
by snarf indoes anyone know of any links or have any info on women's role in the congregation and why the jw are either right or wrong?
i always felt they were wrong, but it was always just a gut feeling.
does anyone have any info on if any women held positions of authority during the bible times concerning a congregation.

I'm sure after I post the thread will be kilt, it's usually what happens.lol. But I'll still have my say!
I especially feel bad for women who take that let the man lead mentality home with them. They have to put up with so much crap and accept it because, the man is our spirtual head and we should heed his counsel. When I think of all the women who are abused by their husband and try to seek help and all the get from the elders is a " perserve in pray" type of counsel, I get really pissed!

Mama, you would not imagine. I just got a patient complaint because, I wouldn't turn the monitor so she could see more. If I had turned it anymore, I wouldn't be able to see it.

Oh my goodness, I was just about to start a post similar to yours!I'm a ob/gyne sonographer. So I understand mothers/fathers are really anxious that everything is okay or extremely excited. But why do the expect me to be just as excited as they are! I must scan about 10 to 15 patients a day. And about 6 are ob patients. It's old already. I'm happy for you, but I am not going to exclaim everytime your freaking baby moves. Then the are either two extreme's and hardly any people in between. They are either super anxious and ask you 100 questions that you can't answer cause your not the doctor and get mad cause they think you are trying to keep something from them or they are soooo on top of the world hugging and kissing each other you can't get the damn exam done.
And let's not forget the people who bring their whole family for the ultrasound. Sometimes I feel like I should pass out popcorn and set up a concession stand or something. And they ask a bunch of questions which are distracting. I'm trying to make sure the baby is normal and they just want to know if it's a boy or girl.
Don't get me start I could vent for hours over this sh*t. And the stupid question they ask
1. How do you know what your looking at? I took a 6 week's course, I was trained dumb azz!
2. Do you have any kids? - extremely personal
3. Can I get some good pictures of the baby? Like this is freaking fetal photo and the baby's going to pose for them or like I would give them crappy pic's on purpose.
4. You must love your job, right? Let's forget about all the women who miscarry their pregnancy, have fetal defect's or fetal demise's at 40 weeks, oh yeah it's the best job in the world.
