News Update
by Amazing ini have been away for a couple of weeks, distracted by legal, work and health issues.
it all came down at a time when i am trying to get some things done regarding the jw child abuse issues.. added to my heart disease is disbetes ... cool ... in addition to not having fats, cholestrol, caffiene, cigarettes and sodium ... now i have to cut out carbs, sugar, coke, and take more medicine.
my diet is reduced to a thin piece of clear fibre paper every other night, forty pills, and purified water.

I highly recommend Steven Hassan's books. Steve has done interventions for years, and I have worked with him on several, and not just with Witnesses. Really it is not complicated at all, and certain things will work in almost every case if you know what they are. It is tough in an intervention because you have 15 minutes to make friends with the cult member or you are probably doomed. Get them to stay a couple of days and they are allmost always out, and for good. Sound too good to be true? It's not. It's just that few people know what to say, and what not to say, and how to keep the family member(s) that are tying to get them out "quiet" so they will not blow the whole operation.
It's pretty much about getting the victim to "rethink" bad decisions made when joining the cult, and then picking up where they left off in their "old personality." A little tougher with those born into it, but it can be done.

" that was "placed" with me last week.. it is set up to be studied with a householder in short sessions - each lesson is only about 6-7 paragraphs.
the first three are quite simple - general statements with a supporting scripture.

Planting the persecution complex as early in the game as possible is the key to many getting sucked in, wanting to believe their tutors are right, they then demonize everyone else. Eliminate this step, and it is much harder to get a zealous convert.
