This IS an American religion, when all is said and done. When the "head" dies, the tail will soon follow.
i get the feeling the society is gonna suffer a huge loss of number, with people who are in getting old, those 'raised' in the so called truth leaving and less and less interested ones because more people are aware.. .
it has its ups and downs but it seems the ups aren't as big as they used to, some never recovered from 1975 and others from the 1995 generation thingy.. your thoughts?.

wow, where to begin?
i guess i just need to let it all out.
my sister is in pain and i don't know what to do to fix it.
You and your sister are in my thoughts and prayers.
"They don't know what's wrong, we went tp the ER and they said that she needs to see a neurologist (duh) only problem is that they can't get one ASAP, the doctor in the ER said it could be anything because there are "hundreds of disorders out there and I don't know what this is." "
Sounds like the ER docs have ruled out heart and/or stroke complications which (I assume) would lead to immediate hospitalization in intensive care. If they are referring/deferring you to see a neurologist, I hope not so much a life-threatening medical emergency then? It could be - as others here have suggested - a pinched nerve.
Are you in a small town or rural area where your hospitals don't have an neurologist on-staff?
slowly and progressively, or rapidly after a specific date?.
Gill and YaddaYadda echo my thoughts; by 2014, it will have been 100 years since the recast and (more than once) totally busted 1914 prediction is shown, once again, to be a false prophecy. The "scholars" should have used Egyptian cubits instead of English "feet," then the predictions would have shown that Dave Letterman would be elected President of the USA in 2012. (Only idding!)
Free flow and availability of information via the internet is the doom of the WTBTS - if not today, then tomorrow or the day after, or the day after... As a private religious entity in the USA, the WTBTS has no control over the internet, unlike, say, the communist government officials in the Peoples' Republic of China - and we know that, in the long run, they're fighting a losing battle.
Yes, it's true that here the WTBTS can file suits to attack individual websites for copyright infringement, etc., but that will only take them so far. In the end, the truth WILL out, because of the sheer volume of pages, website, and information availabe on the internet. They cannot possibly hope to (and will not be able to ) keep up with it all.

is your avitar a pic of yourself?
if it isn't, who is it if you don't mind me asking.
Wow. And here I thought that was an actual photo of the "Judge" from the 1920's or '30's. Geez!
the writing department should really win an oscar for best screenplay in a comedy/drama series craptower, the article is entitled is the bible too restrictive?
in actuality, every witness knows that this is really asking "is the wts too restrictive?
on page 9 it says in part:
Questions from Readers, ''How does an Apostate like me obtain a Dub Publication?''
I get magazines on occasion from people doing street witnessing in the downtown area where I work. I often see easily identifiable Witnesses (because of how they are dressed and their book bags, and the women are always in pairs). Only thing is, they don't always offer the most current magazines. I picked up two yesterday, the WT is July 15 issue and the Awake is July. It's amusing to see how startled they get when someone actually walks up to them and asks for magazines!
well, the hard, rusty gears of theocratic justice has begun to turn, and the teeth have caught me.
for those of you who read my earlier threads, in february of 2005, a "sister" i had known for almost 30 years contacted me and wanted to know what i had learned in the years since i had faded.
after granting me full assurance of confidentiality, in writing, i disclosed to her the un scandal.
"Last Wednesday, the 9th, I got a phone call at work, after my wife had told them I was very busy on an important job."
Ummm, since I'm new here, I don't know what your history. It is not my intention to insult you, and I suppose I should tred lightly, but then, if I had tred lightly in the past I'd probably still be IN. So, I do have to ask you - since you stated in your last post that your wife "left" in 2005, how is it that she would know on August 9, 2006 that you were busy on an important job?
my first post out of the box was "what is a dub?

Welcome Matt.
Hmmm, somehow, that doesn't sound quite right, does it - images of wiping feet come to mind... Er, Greetings, Matt, and welcome to the board. Yeah, that's better.
I'm new too. People here have a sense of humor, a great commodity that is, unfortunately, too much in short supply in the world today. Enjoy!

looking for personality adjectives here.
it's a chance to give yourself some love (or criticism).... daniel www.dfmenow.blogspot.com
An inquiring mind; an independent personality; stubborness (the Society would say being stiff-necked) - or stick-to-it-ness; a sense of humor; and a healthy ego (i.e., sense of self worth).
I think I see a pattern developing here, interesting...
readers here may find this of interest, from the bar companion (biblical archaeological review) i received in email today (i'm a subscriber to the magazine).
it is a "preview" of a review of a new book.
http://www.bib-arch.org/bswb_bar/bswbba3205review.html.
Satanus, BAR is a controversial magazine; people either seem to love it or hate it, with few people staking out a middle position. I like it because it keeps me up to date on biblical arch. controversies and what's going on in holy land archaeology. My interest is more by way of a general one in history, not in whether archaeology can be used to "prove" or "disprove" biblical accounts. I do give Herschel Shenks credit for creating a "lively" forum; in contrast, the AIA's publication is just plain boring!
