Might I ask whether you are a Jehovah's Witness in good standing and if so, whether you fully support ThirdWitness position on all these threads? Are you viewing these threads form a neutral point if view, which means that the information provided will prove the outcome of these debates, not a pre-concluded point of view?

I am not even officially a Jehovah's Witness... for I have not been baptized. However, Wife is, and we do attend meetings, service, etc. Am I viewing this thread from a neutral point of view? Absolutely...

I note on another tread that you imply that ThirdWitness actually made his case for a 607BCE fall of Jerusalem. Might you be willing to tell the reader on what basis you reached this conclusion? If not, why not?

He neither accepted my invitation to answer questions that pertained to the thread in question, which as I have previously stated makes him a liar, and you a person with an agenda in supporting his position

you have painted yourself as an arms length observer, because you are unable to enter these debates due to a lack of knowledge of the subject, a subject in which you base your faith and your life style. Ignorance is a brutal master.

I accept my ignorance of these debates. That is why I am here, to be enlightened.... to further my knowledge, to escape that ignorance. I am unable to enter these debates due to a lack of knowlege and fully accept it.

2) I have invited ThirdWitness to debate me on numerous occasions on the veracity of the Bible as a whole, my point being that if I can prove that the Bible is an unreliable book where science and history is concerned *all* these issues of chronology and interpretation are immediately attended to at one stroke. All these numerous invitations have not even been acknowledged, as have not been acknowledged ONE question that I have ever posed to him, on this thread or any other.

He mentioned in this thread he will not reply to any other topic... 607 being the main topic for discussion. Apparently he didn't accept the invitation.

It seems that you go beyond stating facts, but actually defend ThirdWitness. Let me show you your own words :

Hi Swan, I understood your point, I'm not saying that Athiest's dont want a better life for their kids or hope for a better world. Isn't hope something great that you have yet to attain for the future? After ones short 70 or 80 years of life, a mere speck on the scale of time, what hope can there be after that with no God? If theres even a slight chance that there is a God, and he has a reward for us for the future... then I want to be a part of it, for that is the hope I have.

Would you like me to present a list of numerous questions that I have asked you over the past two weeks NONE of which you have answered? I do hope Saki is reading this post.

As well as the other 53 people who are still waiting for answers. Its obvious the scales are a bit unbalanced with TW being outnumbered by at least 15 to 1. But this is a completely new thread, with the content apparently being retyped manually... somewhat of a redeeming period... but lots of negative responses.

I'm not here to argue but rather wanting to simply hear both sides... so I inject my viewpoint, not to stir up anything, but to make aware of the facts.

No, I'm not Athiest or Agnostic, but rather a believer in God. A believer in the God that you once served.. Jehovah. I personally cannot grasp the concept of or even want to grasp the concept of their not being a God. Yes, I personally dont find the meetings all that exciting, but for me what keeps me going in life itself, is knowing there is hope. Hope for a better life. I will now fight to my death in defense of not just growing old, dying and thats it. I want what "Jehovah" promises. I want that paradise. I want my kids to grow up in that fantasy world as you all now see it. Just looking up into the sky on a dark night, showing my kids the absolute beauty of the heavens... real beauty... and all from nothing? I know, its much more complicated than I would like to believe... but that hope of a better life is what I'm living for.

thirdwitness, I can't help but wonder why you keep trying to divert attention from the fact that you will not answer direct questions.
