Sometimes i have to fight my ingrained inclination to judge, but for the most part I don't see any religion as better or worse when I force myself to realise that my knee jerk reaction is still wts crap that I've been brainwashed with.

Voodoo and New Orleans
by free2beme ina few years ago i was in new orleans for a business trip and took some time to check out the area.
very humid, not my cup of tea and i was glad i was only there for two days.
anyway, there is a strong amount of connections in the city with voodoo.

No life of her own
by onlycurious inone of my employee's is jw.
actually, i have been blessed with 2 of them but one of them was raised a jw and the other was recently baptized and has been studying for 2 yrs.. both of these young ladies are very pleasant to be around and i truly enjoy being around them.
the young woman who has been raised jw is a peach.

not all of the younger generation are more liberal just some got to feel em out just like the older ones. Just ask the questions they can't answer in a none attacking way.

I feel uncomforatable when my children ask about God....
by flip4diz ini don't know what to say.. for some background: .
i have been out for 10 years.
it was the birth of my son, who just turned 11 ... that brought me out.

I can totally rellate. I don't have children but I am scared to death about what I will teach them when I decide to have them. I know I don't what them raised in the mentally and spiritually restricted jw way that i was, but I think they should at least be aquainted with the jw religion so that they can understand my family that is still in and so they can make informed choices on their own but in that case i suppose they would need to be exposed to alot more options than just jw vs. ex-jw.

What do women REALLY want?
by Abandoned inok, i've heard it all: sincerity, honesty, security, money, love, romance, flowers, poems, promises, and more.
but, in my arguably limited experience, i've been shot down while doing all of these (at differnt times obviously).
so, what do women really want?

it's gotten to the point (beyond the point) that i just need to get outta here.
it's not even worth going to hr about because she makes sure you get fired if you do that, but not before dragging your reputation through the mud.

by Scully ini was just pondering how the wts has, for over a century, been able to convince people to do what is contrary to their best interests with fear tactics that armageddon is coming soon, and i came up with what is going to be my pet phrase for a while:.
"only religion has the power to compel people to embrace sheer stupidity in the name of faith.
" ~ scully, december 28, 2006. i googled it, and didn't see that anyone else has claimed it, so until someone else finds an attribution for it, i'm claiming it as my own.

I ran them off !
by oldflame inthe witnesses came to my complex today, this time it was two very good looking women.
i walked up to them and calmly said that this is the second warning that they were trespassing on my property and that no jehovah's witnesses are aloud on this property knocking on doors.
i have a tenant who is a jw and this is fine with me and they are aloud to come and visit her but i do not allow them to bother my tenants as they all prefer they stay away anyways.
