If I am not allowed to ride in a car with a guy when I am 18 because it "looks bad" and people may think we are having sex (yes, all the while I am driving from territory to territory because I am pioneering and this guy is pioneering)
Exactly
Do not touch the unclean thing.
I was told if you had a demonic album (def leopard, etc. LOL!) and you had to get rid of it you could not even sell it (or them) to anyone for just that reason.
Everything is picked apart but this is different? If they never got caught they would still be there, right? ---And if someone says they would have still dropped out if nobody knew I will check into the phsych ward cause I can't take it!

And you thought Mel Gibson was anti-semitic
by beautifulisfree inin 1933 while the rank and file were being persecuted right along side the jews this is what the society said:.
as for the declaration and an accompanying letter sent to adolf hitler personally, they were nothing short of self-serving statements which attempted to ingratiate jehovah's witnesses with the nazis.
under a sub-section entitled "jews," the declaration reads: it is falsely charged by our enemies that we have received financial support for our work from the jews.

Where is that from? I can't use it without proof because they will say it's apostate.

Red flags
by beautifulisfree inwhen i was an active witness i never understood why there were 'annointed' women that would be ruling right beside god and helping rule over the whole earth.
but, they were not allowed or good enough to be 'elders' and just rule over a tiny little congregation.
i know now this should have been a red flag for me...but, i just thought oh well this scripture says that men are to be the head of woman.

The thing about being a kid born in to the cong. is that nothing seems (or at least for me) out of place because that is all you know. The red flags appear when you see someone celebrating Christmas or something normal. But now looking back I can see a thousand flags. That's why this website is great because i am reminded of everything I forgot because it didn't stand out at the time to remember it.How about the sisters wearing the scarf on their head when when reading at the book study?
Or the constant Demon references? You can't watch scary movies but you are bombarded with talk of things "floating around the house". No wonder I had so many nightmares about that!

I found out I was adopted when I was 18 years old. It came out during the "Why are you rejecting Jehovah" conversation. They said "Is it because you are adopted and you are confused?" I was like "Excuse me" !!!!!!!!!!! I was confused for sure then!
I has NO idea.

How Long Would They Last Without The Society?
by ThomasCovenant infollowing on a little from 2 topics (xjw critical mass) and (the real reason jw's don't accept blood) sorry but don't know how to show the links, i got to thinking: .
if the society were to finish publishing and closed down because of say bankruptcy from lawsuits, how long do you think the worldwide brotherhood would last?.
i feel this is a good question to ask those still in.would they still worship jehovah without the rigmarole of 5 meetings, personal study and preaching work and the monthly kingdom ministry and other regular literature.

They may still worship Jah but it would be drastically different I would guess. Without the constant "food". It would probably be how it should be.

I think the more opposition this kind of group gets, the more emboldened they become.
It will be the "fulfillment of prophecy". Then we'll really hear "any day now"!

Ever ask an elder why there are two gods described in the Bible?
by free2beme inface it, there is one very true statement that can be said about the bible.
that is, that there are two completely different gods described.
the old testament, is talking about a angry, vengeful and wrathful god.

If I wrote God told me to post this it doesn't mean he did.
By the way, I am going to write a book saying my last post was inspired and any whom question it are apostates!
It's the same thing.

but I don’t believe God butchers people, women and children for nothing
Then why???
I know the "faith thing" is how it works but how are we to have faith in God when we have no guidance.
The bible says all things inspired... but man wrote that. If I wrote God told me to post this it doesn't mean he did. I used to hate when I'd here that scripture. It's like confronting a JW with concrete proof and they research JW publications. What do you think it will say?
Faith consists of reading man made documents passed down and altered (to suit personal intrests?) over thousands of years.
Knowing how man is and was, it is hard to trust anything. Yes we can listen to our hearts, but have our hearts been trained?
