Me and my friend "smoked out" a little before the meeting one time when I was like 16.
We couldn't look at each other for the entire meeting. We knew as soon as we caught eye contact we'd bust out laughing.

years ago, when i was a bit more wicked/naughty/younger than i am now, i thought i would take some drugs just prior to the meeting to see if it would make things any more interesting.
it didnt, but at least i enjoyed the kingdom melodies tapping my foot to the beat and bopping my head!!

Does anyone know what to do when a dog attacks?
by restrangled inthis evening i was walking one of my doberman's, he is 103 pounds.
he was perfectly behaved at my side.
out of no where an oversized pitbull charges us from across the street.. there was a terrible fight and i'm screaming help, help at the house where he came from.

I'm no expert but I've had pit bulls before and the one thing I always knew is if YOU are the aggressor, the dog gets confused. If you attack the dog it will most of the time back down because you are a bigger animal.
It's like when you see the videos of a bird chasing a lion or something. The bird is the aggressor and the lion doesn't want to fight, but just simply do ALL the attacking.
Now nothing is fool proof, of course, but it always worked for me even though I was usually pretty scared.

i remember being taught that it never rained before the flood but now they are telling me that was never taught.
i thought i remembered a quote somewhere saying something to the effect of "can you imagine how the outsiders must have felt feeling those first drops of rain?

Calling someone a moron for their ideas is no better than calling someone a moron who questions the story of creation.
This really mirrors the automatic attack on anyone who asks questions we all are used to.

why when someone is talking about morality, do they really mean sexual activities, and not lying, cheating, child abuse, wife beating, bad tempers, being a horrible person, murder, generally bad behaviour.. those other things, i would say are more immoral.. but, sex, why is it a sin?
if two people are in love, have no other ties, want to be together, why is that a sin?

I too seem to remember being told at some point, that it had never rained before the flood.
That's the point of the question.
It is simply to find out if this was told to us. Yeah magic will explain it away no matter what, that's obvious.
I think I kinda enjoy remembering strange things about growing up that way. It's just now that all of it is really sinking in and it's so "new" even though it was always there.
Sometimes you can't remember if you dreamed some of this stuff or it was actually told to you.

Wrong thoughts or completely natural ones? Is not procreation natural? Humans have a sex drive that involves fantasies as a working part of it. It is the furthest thing from wrong. -imo
And to say it IS wrong is an opinion. Maybe this is not one person's opinion, but an opinion being relayed from another person or 'persons'.
If there ever was a matter of personal choice it is this. -imo

by mama1119 ini could not have a big new kids on the block pin, or wear any new kids on the block pins in puplic becuase it was considered idolatry.
i also could not wear my shoes without laces (it was cool back then) because it looked wordly.
what other strange theings besides the usual holiday/birthday stuff weren't you allowed to do?

Guys, you've been out too long. This was the "New light" on the rain thing...
So I guess this is another one of them. ------ False interpretation of the scriptures told as if it was the truth. And we would have risked getting DF'd for questioning it. This is what scares me because if they can mess up something like that, than what about blood, DF'ing, etc. etc. etc.......
It seems that the new light comes only after the science sheltered Witnesses FINALLY realize that something is completely impossible.
After all these years, up until '98 I'm told, nobody ever thought it may not be true that the eco-system as we know it was formed a few thousand years ago?
This is the perfect example of picking scriptures apart and relaying them as truth. I believe there is no way to accurately poke through, word by word, the scriptures because too much time has passed. Languages morph and human ideas are expressed in different ways from one era to another.
From what I see 90% of the problem with religion is just that. Arrogant writers realize these books have been thoroughly interpreted. To make a mark some may embellish for the shock appeal and think "Ooh, he/she has an interesting p.o.v"! I guess that's the name of the game.
I wish the Bible said somewhere "When it rains it means God is crying". Just to see how that was taught. It may have at one time for all we know and it was removed just like all the other convenient edits throughout time.
