I HAVE TO VENT, A GB MEMBER FLYING TO GET SPECIAL MED TREATMENT
by restrangled ini am so angry right now.
my father worked his butt off for years at his job and for the wbts.. in the 60's he was a painter and use to bathe in benzine to clean him self off.
this was before anyone new this was a cancer causing chemical.. he worked for years at assemblys, and as an elder etc.. he realized the foolishness of 1975 and started saving big time leaving my mother a nice savings account plus a huge retirement fund.. he developed kidney cancer at age 60 due to the benzine and survived.

The Universe in a Single Atom by the Dalia Lama
by frankiespeakin ini have purchased the cd's and proceeded to listen to the first one and then skipped to disc 3. i would highly recomend these cds.
he has had many prolonged visits with many of the top scientist.
it is interesting to hear what he says on dic 3 where he covers evolution and consciousness, very insightful.. 20 bucks for 5 cds is a steal if you ask me.. http://www.amazon.com/universe-single-atom-convergence-spirituality/dp/0739322656/ref=ed_oe_a/102-9192297-3846537?ie=utf8.

In fact, a previous letter to the elders said "all in the Christian congregation would want to consider their personal and moral responsibility to alert the appropriate authorities in cases where there has been committed or there exists a risk that there might be committed a serious criminal offence of this type..."
The policy of JWs states: In addition to making a report to the branch office, the elders may be required by law to report even uncorroborated or unsubstantiated allegations to the authorities. If so, we expect the elders to comply. Additionally, the victim may wish to report the matter to the authorities, and it is his or her absolute right to do so.
Hey 3rd, one more thing. Well, two things. First, in response to my first question, what was it exactly that happened in that meeting?
Second, when were these 2 things written?(quoted above)
Thanks

"There was, however, psychological harm to the plaintiff as a result of the December 29, 1989 meeting. She was in a very vulnerable state at the time as she had just begun to deal with the effects of her father?s abuse. I accept the evidence of the various experts, including Dr. Awad, that this confrontation made things worse for the plaintiff."
Hey 3rd, just out of curiosity, what happened? I'm not arguing your post, I am just curious.

Would this offend you, if the government made this policy
by free2beme inif the government had this policy .... given that 100% of the terrorist who did 9/11 were arab, and most terrorist are arab.
we as a government will racially profile the arab population and visitors to our country.
spending more time inspecting them, checking them out, and making sure that they are singled out and watched more then any other race.. would this offend you?.

Yes, because no matter what, even if you think it'll help, it doesn't matter. Going down that road fails every time. There is a reason that free countries succeed. A country is built on people, people of all kinds and with that there will be heartache at times. There will be those who give their race a bad name. But you have to think, "What if I were Arab? I'm not a terrorist."
It's only being fair to another human being if you give him/her the benefit of the doubt. They cannot be judged for something they have no control of. They just happened to be born in to a people that recently have a bad image. One of their own has brought retribution to their name. They are proud people and the fact that they have that stain, alone, is punishment enough.

Wikipedia being abused by Jehovahs Witnesses
by Simon ini had a look at the wikipedia entry for jehovahs witnesses yesterday and noticed that it wasn't as comprehensive as it once was.. most links to non-pro-jw sites have gone as is anything truly critical or exposing of their beliefs and practices.. last night i added a link to this site to the "other sources" section.
this morning it is gone.. i wonder whether this is some private zealot who has decided to do it or an organised campaign?.

A Frightening Picture p/29

it says several things:.
*the father's entire look and posture conforms to that of long time bethelites.
