Well... when I'm not saving the world and catching the bad guys, I am slinging drinks on the weekends at a nightclub. Overall it's a good gig, I have been doing it forever. Right now I am lookin for something new. The late nights are kicking my wonder-ass.

What Do You Do for Work?
by Good Girl or Bad Girl? inso, i have a good job, but i hate my boss.
it's gotten to the point (beyond the point) that i just need to get outta here.
it's not even worth going to hr about because she makes sure you get fired if you do that, but not before dragging your reputation through the mud.

Watchtower condones murder - but make sure you disfellowship for smoking!
by AK - Jeff ini unintentionally hijacked the wanderer's thread regarding a witness mindset - so i post this here to leave his thread on topic.. http://www.silentlambs.org/education/92_murder_letter.cfm.
.
i know that this in not news to most here - but to some newer 'faders' or 'lurkers' it might be.. jeff .

How embarrassed were you to be a JW?
by exwitless ini, for one, was often embarrassed to be a jw; i always felt guilty about that, because it was always drilled into us that we should never be ashamed of our "religious heritage".
well, it's really hard to be the only one at your workplace who doesn't celebrate christmas, birthdays, etc.
it just draws so much unwanted attention to you, like when people try to tiptoe around certain subjects in your presence.

I was mad embarrased then. Now I'm not. I was a kid brought up in a crazy ass cult. It wasn't my choice.

Back of the hall stragglers... were you one?
by Fleshybirdfodder inthere were mother's with babies, there were those suffering from vericose veins that had to stand up.
what about the rest of us?
in my cong there were only a few "gifted ones" who'd do sound and it was behind the literature counter (our hall was tiny).

I tried as hard as possible to find other things to do...from changing my baby brother to faking cramps. Anything to escape...

Have you abandoned the hope of everlasting life?
by Fisherman indo you still believe or nurture in your heart "living forever in a paradise earth" and even never having to die in "this old system"?
or do you now belive in life after death as a spirit being in heaven?
or have you abandoned the hope of everlasting life?

Sounds like I feel like most people. After I stopped having all of the armageddon nightmares and I healed a little, I don't really worry about it. Everyone has a different idea about what happens when you die. How can anyone be right? Who really knows? Now I enjoy my life, plan for the future, and can't wait to see what kind of woman I am and all of the things myself and my kids have accomplished by the time I am 95.

Great...
One more piece of motivational shyte for my mom to use against me. I feel so bad for the kids who desperately want to get out but either don't know how or are scared to death. I hope they find their way.

Blondie, hope your ear is feeling better...
I got married in the puke hall when I was 19. This article brought it all back to me like it was yesterday. Those self righteous ignorant pig headed b#@%tards! They have ruined so many lives with their constant spewing.
