Daddy dearest died years ago leaving us nothing.
Mama was so busy pioneering where the need was great and popping out new jw babies that she never got a career and thus has nothing but a couple side jobs and a room in my jw brother's house.
But I would take a wild guess that my worldy df'd sis and myself would be excluded from any sort of inheritance if there was one in the first place. -

Kingdom Hall Duties
by KW13 ini remember even though i was young, i was 'mature' and i got the priv.
of doing microphones on certain occasions, helped the brother doing carpark e.t.c.
i used to hate mic's at our hall, they had cable attached so you were always tripping over this huge cable, or a sister would have it in her hand, then pull it, so you'd end up with this thing around your legs, basically attaching you to her.

Why I write...
by Jerohobobonadad in.
hello all, been lurking a few weeks, decided to post..... i am mid 20's, male, unbaptised, 3rd generation, elder family etc.
a number of years ago, in the name of intellectual honesty, i decided to research religions to make an informed choice before being baptised as a jw.... there was not enough time (and i was too uninterested) to look at other religions seriously, so i figured if jw is the "truth" then it should be able to stand any criticism.. is it just me or is it all a load of old bollocks?!.

Welcome J...
After being completely engulfed in this organization for 3/4 of my life, I have come to the conclusion as well that it is a bunch of crapola started by a bunch of power hungry glory seeking men.
Hope you stick around.

Being female left me the option of assisting in the vaccuming of floors, cleaning the woodwork, dusting, bathroom duty and garbage. AHHH...the life of a jw sister. Thank you Jehovah for showing me my place!

**Now, now, KW. I knew some brothers who gave a little sermon every time they answered**
On the subject of brothers loving to hear themselves ramble, what about their prayers at the end that go on and on and on...Especially the one at the end of the last day of the ASSembly. My sis and I clocked one at 9 min once. -

Worst Thing Youve Done In A Meeting?
by chuckie77 inwhats the worst thing youve done during a meeting?
years ago, when i was a bit more wicked/naughty/younger than i am now, i thought i would take some drugs just prior to the meeting to see if it would make things any more interesting.
it didnt, but at least i enjoyed the kingdom melodies tapping my foot to the beat and bopping my head!!

My sister, some friends and I got into the left over memorial wine and took a few good slugs behind the lit. counter...
besides that, I actually believed everything said on stage. -

(((Annie))),
Thank you for sharing your story. I can't believe the way they treated your family...oh, wait actually I can. It never ceased to amaze me how many witnesses were so critical and condemning. It all was such a big show of who had what and what can you do for us. The families in our hall with one jw parent were treated very similar. It always made me so angry.
When my dad was sick with cancer, horribly depressed and stopped going to meetings for a while, the rest of us got dirty looks. Even when mom faltered for a while too, and just us kids walked over to the hall with me (the oldest) as the leader there was no one to ask how we were or if we needed anything. I was dying inside and so desperately trying to be this good responsible girl. no gave a sh*t. I had nothing to offer.
I am very happy that you are here. You and your mama deserve so much better.
Hugs.
