hi everyone, i'm new to this forum, and somewhat new to being out of the org [in recovery mode at present], and i'm looking to meet some fellow ex-jw's in person.
now that i'm "out" making new friends has proven to be a bit tricky since i'm a tad socially stunted due to my past.
btw i'm a guy in my late 20's..

Peter Gabriel is someone I'm dying to see. I couldn't manage it last time he was through here, had a full orchestra and John Cusack came out with the boom box for "In your eyes."
Would see the Stones again if I could swing it. It's prob a too high priced ticket, it was the last time they were through here.

we have two children under 4, so i was thinking about bringing at least one stroller.. what is the weather like in november?
would a sweatshirt be warm enough, or a light winter coat?
Nice_Dream: I will PM you my email. Beaches are all good. About 15-20 min away down Harbor to the 55, will take you to the ocean, Newport Beach. You can just ask around and people will tell where to go. Or you can turn right on Pacific Coast Hwy and go up the coast and pick your beach. Just north of Newport will be Huntington Beach, then Seal Beach. They are now state beaches with facilities. I recommend parking by one of the piers and going to the end to Ruby's.

Hi there. The weather is supposed to be in the mid 70's next week and goes down to the mid 50's at night, more like sweatshirt weather. The two parks at Disneyland are huge, and I recommend a stroller for sure if the children are under 4. If you are staying at the park or close, you can really take your time and break up the days with the little ones. If you are going midweek, it is a great time to go. The parks shouldn't be crowded. If they are for some strange reason, there is "Fastpass" for rides so you don't have to wait in line. You can also download an app which will give you wait times for rides.

Not really. I think elders have too much to do to keep up with their duties in the congo as well as in their personal life. I think they hope faders just stay out of sight.
I did meet an elder in Costco last week. His wife and I were in the same hall in the 70's. He asked what congo I was in and I told him I wasn't attending. He just said "oh" and kept talking like nothing different and handed me his business card, he is an insurance salesman. lol

Well I just watched it. Dunno. To me it's starting to pull out every scary idea ever feathured in scary films. The nazi, the aliens, the skin lampshades, the minster in the woods.
With that said, I think Jessica is amazing with that character. And might I add, still watching...cannot turn away.
i honestly think that if i have to watch her sing that stupid song and promote those lifestyle facelifts very much longer, i am going to go get a .45 automatic and shoot out my television screen.. thank you very much for your consideration of this rant.. sincerely,.
