  can someone please help me find or direct me to the quote from the wt/or thread, (i believe it was the summer of 2011), where they specifically counseled against associating with those who stopped attending meetings.

  i am trying to find it but can't come up with the right combination of search words.. thank you very much in advance..

  Me neither Amelia. I was talking to a JW gf, Wed, using the word "shun" for my JW family and former friends. She said she honestly never thought of it as shunning before. She did tell me for the first time that "everybody" asks about me. She knew how my PO brother was making an effort to be in touch after our mother passed, then distanced himself again after what I think was an article in the WT.

  Tonight when I get home I'll look for the posts around that time. I seem to remember a lot of discussion about it.

  Thank you The Searcher. The article I'm referring to was specific about even if the person was NOT DF'd or DA'd, just not attending.

  Quentin (from JW-net) is dying

  quentin robburts has been on jw-net off and on for over 6 years and he is one of my oldest and most loyal friends.. his wife called me awhile ago and gave me the news.. quentin was rushed to the hospital's emergency room with acute renal failure and congestive heart failure.. .

  this does not surprise me for the following reason.

  his pain doctor put him on oxycontin last thursday.

  this weekend i had the most delicious chicken pie filled with white meat, a few veggies, gravy and the chicken pie had a hard crust, not puff pastry.

  i owned a massage school, taught massage for over 20 years, practiced massage for nearly 30 years.

  massage/bodywork -- some folks who do bodywork don't like the word massage but i don't care.

  bodywork sounds like car repair to me.

  Hortensia, have you heard of "Bowen Therapy?" I don't know how it works, but it assists the body to heal itself, even structually. Great success with curvatures of the spine. Non invasive...I have never seen anything like it. I have even considered taking the course.
