Kind of frustrating. But then, Bethel should keep on doing exactly what they are doing. Those that can see through the bluster and double speak will be questioning. Those that buy it should stay right where they are...they need it.

Oh he is brilliant. Taking a simple concept, "generation," and complicating it so people will believe they have some special knowledge. I can hear the "ooohs and aaaahs" now about this "special" insight.

This is so exciting. Those that don't have their rose colored glasses on, like your friend, will absolutely see and understand what happened there at the RC. It will hit them between the eyes and in the gut as it did us.

There could not have been a better interrogator as Angus, and the justice with his quiet, determined way, just added that touch of disgust we all felt when hearing those answers.

Like I said before, I wonder how the WBTS is going to spin the numbers in Australia. They will do something to make it look like the hearings had no effect on the JW population.

One "brother" was just texting me how good the regional convention was 2 days ago, when today it was "DID YOU SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING IN AUSTRALIA? JACKSON WAS INTERVIEWED!" Lolololol.

Another "brother" I heard was talking about the hearings to another MS in the hall.

This hearing was amazing and validating for us ex's. We couldn't stop watching...many triggers...many memories. Even if the GB are never compelled to change their policies on their own, these videos of their words and attitudes will be there forever for all to stumble upon. It is the gift that will keep on giving. The only bright spot in just a despicable, heinous ongoing history of the judicial procedures of the WBTS.

Didn't believe it even though it was talked about constantly. I did think it was going to happen...sometime...with about 50% surety.

It just didn't seem probable. But did I leave? Nooooooooooo!!!

What woke you up?

in march of 2014, i was a very active jw, a ministerial servant, gave a public talk, was an attendant for the memorial, and one of 4 cleaning captains for an international convention of 40,000+ attendees.

so what woke me up?

an innocent comment from a co-worker about the candice conti court case rang a bell that could not be unrung.

When the "generation" change happened in 1995, I knew it was all BS and they were just making everything up...no special knowledge. I continued attending, but focused on reading the context of quoted scriptures I heard at the meeting. That led me to more and more frustration since conservatively 50-70% of the scriptures I now saw were misapplied. During a WT study in 2001, I just felt I didn't belong there anymore after listening to multiple comments given in prideful arrogance of their own spirituality. Never went back.

It's been a weird trip. Can't believe I believed that shite.

the title of the assembly is "imitate jehovah".
