Whereas, Jesus said "he who is without sin cast the first stone."
Funny how the WBTS likes to concentrate on the discipline of the old testament, and not the mercy of the new.
It tears the heart out of children, parents, friends. It's so sad.
ive seen jw parents shun their disfellowshipped children for 20-30 years.
ive seen parents remove disfellowshipped or fader children from wills and give the inheritance to the watchtower..
if your country got run over by some form of government like the nazi regime and started a process of eliminating any groups or individuals who it considered a threat.

My eyes rolled back in my head when I heard "it's obvious it's a 'composite' slave" when reading Matt. 24:45.
Tony has dancing shoes on again.
a couple of excerpts from an interview with john lee hooker, american blues legend, a few years before he died in 2001. i found this to be somewhat humorous.. have you been married more than once?.
four times.
i aint never gonna get married again.
Hey Mr. Flipper! How are you doing? What a nice fest we had in July. Thank you again for organizing it. It's an amazing time with extraordinary people.
I haven't thought about Johnny Lee in a long time. I liked him a lot also, and it was pretty cool there were more collaborations with other famous musicians in his later years. There was a great blues circuit in this area, and some great clubs and entertainers. It was nothing to see Buddy Guy one night after the bookstudy at a local club. Johnny was very kind to his fans. He would receive them after a concert like the godfather, and they would bring him fancy socks, one of his things. Just a nice, kind of quiet gentleman. He sure saw a lot in his time. RIP John Lee.

Thinking about it last night, I think Johnny liked the attention in regards to the study. And as for the friendship, we were all blues fans and frequented clubs/concerts in the blues circuit. The group was kind and nice, and had no ulterior motives for the friendship, other than trying to convert him, lol, which really wasn't going to happen. It was a safe place for him to relax and have company. Nobody was after his money or trying to take advantage of him.

No Johnny was not a JW but he studied with various ones in my old hall for some years, and we all joined him when he was in town for concerts. He ended up buying a home in our territory and we went over many times for gatherings.
I have very fond memories of Johnny. One of my favorites is we were sitting around chatting and one of my "former" friends said, "Johnny, who is Mabel?" (One of his songs.) Johnny: "Everybody's got a Mabel." lol
Edited to add Larry Graham had nothing at all to do with this. There is a story but it's not mine to tell.
i have just reviewed the arc evidence given by this man.
it is pathetic.. i am now retired, but until then my professional life was spent in the legal arena.
toole fumbles his way through his answers, fails to understand the principle of 'instructions', and so much more.
But that's great right?
They paid for the education of just the lawyer they wanted. It's perfect.
i just seen this on goggle news.
a report into a hall actually being refurbished!.

How more dreary can they possibly make it look!
From an apostate's standpoint, "good job! WBTS."

poor neil, he comes on this forum, he gets hammered.. goes on the virulently pro-jw forum, gets hammered.. you'd almost think he was a troll.....no, couldn't be..... .
i grew up in az, moved to calif and came back in 2000 and just wondering if there's any one out this way..
My family is in Tucson, moved there from California. They have gone to a few meetups in Phoenix, there is a good group there.
A few years ago I posted about visiting Tucson and a few contacted me and we had a great meetup. Several drove from Phoenix to attend. I know for certain 1 person is no longer living there. I'm not sure about the other.
I suggest to keep on bumping this thread in the hopes more will see it. If you can, Wantingout, try to meet up with others. It can really help keep your sanity. I visit my family from time to time in Tucson so I'll keep this in mind. (Great air fares now BTW.)
