Yea, Orphan is a crazy story, and typically not something I'd like. But somebody on FB mentioned it and I gave it a shot. It's oddly fun. -

I just spent an hour last night cruising through Xmas songs to add to my playlist. My tastes are all over the place. I like pretty, I like R & R, I like classic...do not like Kenny G...he makes me want to kill.
I did find the Phil Spector album of Xmas songs, circa 1960. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BVYDdl2M0A&list=PL35F2FD72D6AEBCE7
Probably top is Springsteen "Santa Clause is Coming to Town."
Too many

Simon (and all) - I thought of another series that's pretty interesting, "Orphan Black." I think it's on Netflix, or amazon Prime.
Oh and tal, I just checked and Outlander continues in Paris next season. I.Can't.Wait.

It's a corporation whose goal is to insure its own existence by its decisions. There is no interest in its flock, or neighborhood, or abuse victims, or elderly, or youth, or or or anything other than its own success and survival.
Heck, they are the ones that blame a 9 year old for her own abuse.
This is great stuff to be circulating on the internet. I bet more will be revealed as these real estate sales move forward. You bet the potential investors will be searching for all information regarding the WTBS corporation, good and bad, to be used to their advantage in the business transactions. It will be great if they fall into the videos of the Royal Commission...

Street witnessing to Christmas Shoppers Yesterday
by snugglebunny inwell, ok, but targeting a german christmas market seems a little hypocritical...

SAdly, they are so out of touch that they don't realize every year the media posts articles about the origins of Xmas, etc. And the History Channel...shows are devoted to it, every year. They are stuck in their own superior arrogance with a dash of martyr to think they are delivering some special, important holiday information,
I stood on that soapbox my own self, not understanding why people would deliberately "choose" to celebrate something based on falsehoods/paganism...whatever. But I get it now. It's just a reason to celebrate. Humans enjoy the celebrations, the carving out a period of time for traditions, foods, and enjoying it with others.

Atlantis, if it is indeed our much loved Leolaia, please send her our best regards. Her comments and threads were some of the most enlightening I've ever read. We miss her, but are thrilled she is out and about with that brilliant mind of hers. xx -

Good for you park! I would have also but I don't have Fios, or newer cable options where I live. You'd think I was living in the sticks, but I'm not. Just a lower rent area that is usually last to get any upgrades I think. The guys at work have been telling me to do exactly what you did...get the best internet you can then cut the other services. I am thinking about going to the dreaded Time Warner for high speed internet, but everybody hates them, so I'm scared. I'd hate to be locked into something that was worse than what I have. I also am looking at high speed internet through my satellite dish...but don't know anybody who has it. I'm skeptical of the promises of 10mpbs, and getting .9. I bought Magic Jack but never hooked it up. I did just buy a refurbished ooma, and as soon as I can I'll set that up for internet phone. My company pays for my cell, but it's still too much for my usage. I'll get there.
Simon - are you on season one or season two of Fargo? We just finished season two this week...and it is great. The story, the characters, the direction, the music...wow. Haven't heard of Suits...I'll check it out. I couldn't get into Vikings, but I only tried it once. Outlander, interesting concept, time travel, gorgeous scenery...got ye lads and lassies...makes me curious about my Scottish heritage. A "not suitable for children" series is "The Affair." Interesting story telling as it presents different perspectives of the same events.
