Mr. Flipper, did you see how many stayed! I guess life in the real world is too much for them. They would rather go to the beach every day and play. Hey wait! I would too!!
Man that guy is so creepy. He got a good scam going.
i just saw the documentary 'holy hell' on cnn, about a cult called buddhafield.
it was a small group but has existed since the 80s and still has a few followers.
classic cult stuff, much of which i found eerily familiar.

OMGoodness...I watched this on Netflix last night.
Sort of interesting to watch these shows about cults...coming from where we have been.
Observations...
I see the draw of "paradise," as a natural desire of most people. Which, in talking with an exJW from this board a few years ago after lamenting "why don't they leeeeeave!!!", the carrot of the paradise with a pet tiger is a very strong carrot...even though it is impossible to achieve, the dream of it is hard to let go.
Even when this crazy guy was shown to be a lying charlatan, people still stayed because of the community and the feeling they got of a brotherhood. Another comment, which conclusion I came to myself, is co-dependency is a large factor in many individuals that remain in cults.
Anyway, interesting video...
acute normovolemic hemodilution.
hemodilution simply refers to the process of diluting the blood with another substance.
there are various ways that this is done before, during and after the surgical process.
Thank you for the information OC...fascinating!
The WT are painting themselves into a well deserved corner with the blood issue.
update on mouthy (grace gough)this is graces granddaughter.
i wanted to send an update that today my beautiful grandmother passed away - surrounded by friends and family.

Thank you Grace's granddaughter for posting that video. It was so lovely to see her and her humor one last time.
this father contacted us a few months ago about his experience with the watchtower's blood policy, and how his daughter nearly died as a result of it.
hopefully, other jw parents can learn from this before the wt policy claims the life of their child.
the wts has very few meaningful interventions or "non blood alternatives" for anemia.
Good article. Thank you for sharing.

Is it me or does this guy look like the Esteban guy that used to post on here!
this site is great, i have been lurking for a while now.
but i can’t get reinstated and have used some of the advice already given.. i was df’d many months ago and go to all the meetings and do all the preparation for the meetings, but the jc committee keep refusing me.
tomorrow at the clam meeting i am puting yet another letter in and will be called for another dreadful jc meeting.. 1. what can i say to the elders to show that i am truly repentant?.
Welcome Betty! Glad you found us.
The advice is good here. Honestly, there is no replacing years of relationships that you have cultivated. Even if you are reinstated, you are different, they know you are different, and they also are different. Things will never be the same as you might think they will be. Life will always be cautious around you and you will carry the mark of "DF" forever.
However, if you start building a life that you want to live while you are waiting for what you think you want, it will be time well spent. You will have the satisfaction of developing yourself into the person you were meant to be. Find a hobby or craft or volunteer work that you enjoy, and you will meet people that feel the same as you.
Nothing worthwhile is easy, but the rewards are great. As much as you wish to be reinstated, it means nothing to the elders. JW's are all about punishing...it's very important to them. Those that miss meetings or don't meet a good average in service are always called out...punished. You can never win with elders. But you can win at your life if you try.
Wishing you strength for the journey.
now the harvest is underway up north i can get out for a walk with the metal detector in the evening.
i am lucky to live on a historic rural estate and i have permission from the landowner to detect.. this is a coin that popped up last night.
it was only about 2 inches deep and had been tumbling around in the plough soil for the last 750 years.. it is a silver penny of king henry iii.
Nice! How fun is that!
i guess this is not so much about guilt, per se, but more so if you feel an obligation to reveal what you now know about ttatt, to those who you have studied with, taught the "truth" to, and are still in the borg ?.
i am sure most of us, after learning about the evils, and lies perpetrated by this organization, must feel some sort of guilt for being the catalyst in "exposing" others to the cult.
honestly, i feel none of us should actually, feel guilty though.
I did to one. The other two I haven't seen. I hope they find their way out.
