I'll bet there are hundreds that are still unaware of the AAWA timebomb ticking on their newsfeed/timelines . . . .
That was my point from the very beginning. The train wreck was completely avoidable if there was concern and action on AAWA's part.

People like Watchtower-Free who keep beating the "it's your fault for having a Facebook account!" drum are ignoring the fact that many of us just have Facebook accounts for their intended purpose...to keep in contact with our real-life friends and family. We didn't choose to join an anti-Watchtower group.
Seriously, what is difficult to understand here? **facepalm**
brian williams said that if the bombs hadn't happened in boston on that day, the world would be discussing the other news that day:.

this is shocking - if i understand it correctly, president bush knew about, discussed and approved the torture of prisoners at guantanamo and other secret cia prisons.
Oh no, we watched it...on Jon Stewart's daily show.
Forgot to add: Bush...LOS

Aha! lol. I checked the 2 FB friend names I was given by Juan Viejo2. One was a "friend" the day I checked. Today he is gone from my list. edited to add: he beat me to it...I decided today to just take them out even though I wasn't sure it was them or other members of the group, which I think could be done if it was set up that way.
Other members of AAWA are there, and I hope it remains as such.
sigh
over the past 8 months or so three people i have known since childhood have accomplished a goal of reinstatement back into their congregations after many years of being disfellowshipped primarily so that they could gain their jw family members back and do away with the condemnation of onlookers judging those family members and the contact they have had during those years of being disfellowshipped.. all of these newly reinstated ones immediately began a proper fade.
no meetings, no service, nada.. is this happening everywhere and regularly?.
I also think that is why the WT is now advising the congregation to treat those who don't attend meetings or are inactive like a DF'd person, no contact. Faders are increasing and they know it and the WT is trying to stay in control with fear and intimidation, in the name of love of course.

then it's the FB friends who deserve the blame
You know what? I totally agree. But to date, AAWA has approved of the adds, calling them "members", and calling the action of adding, "over-enthusiastic" during the "blush" of the start up. We understand all that. But AAWA refused to make it right, in the very least to notify all the members, (to my knowledge), after the fact. Or just pull down the page, say what happened, and "Here's our new page!! Let's get back to work!"

Yes, slim, there was that. And I believe he also said that because of that there were a mix of people now in the group including some not so desirable. I don't have time to look up exactly what he said, Juan Viejo2.
So you are right, which is it. I felt Juan tried to be honest. Some other statements on the site are less so.
