LOL, that made me laugh. I had someone tell me "why couldn't you be Methodist..." Yeah, thanks mom.

Wow what a story! Glad there is some peace in your life now. Thank you so much for taking the time to write your story.
i found the interview interesting as i've always been interested in this subject.
understanding always it's his opinion as a historian, which influences his observations perhaps to his own desired outcome.. https://www.npr.org/2018/03/20/595161200/author-traces-christianitys-path-from-forbidden-religion-to-a-triumph.

tell us a little about yourself and your family.. i was born and raised in southern california, with a brief stint with parents as need-greaters in central america.
my parents accepted a study in the d2d work, i believe my father was interested in the revolutionary aspect of the religion, and my mom said she wanted to learn the bible.
they were baptized in 1937 i think, and attended the one and only los angeles kh at the time.
I think there was drama with some of the friends. This process of leaving can leave you exasperated and open to whatever comes your way.
Yes Uzzah and Bumblebee, Yellowfatcat (I think the name was), the Bianchis, someone that used to host a document site. I think there were about 50-60 people. It was wild!
It's NOTHING like Tahoe, lol. Tahoe is very relaxing with sharing or not sharing if you want. Just lovely, interesting people that share your journey.
tell us a little about yourself and your family.. i was born in the mid-1970s in the midwest part of the u.s. my parents were about to enter gilead when i arrived.
my father converted to jw in his late 20s/early 30s.
he was raised a catholic, but became an atheist/agnostic.
Wow! What a great story! Thank you for sharing, and that you for your service. What a feather to capture a fugitive JW!!
Great read. Congratulations on your life post JW!
i consider myself an atheist.
and right now i'm reading a lot on atheism in general (books written to answer creationists).. i'd be interested in knowing how you became an atheist after leaving the jws and how long did it take?
was it instant or did your belief in a deity gradually decline?.
tell us a little about yourself and your family.
my mother introduced me to her jw world when i was 12. i had to attend the weekly book study....boring!!!!
plus the disney tv show was on tuesday eve 8 to 9 and once a month they did a space show......no matter how hard i tried couldn’t get out of that bk study.
Great story! Thank you for sharing.
my father died a couple of months ago.
he'd been ill for some time and had many health scares and heart troubles over the years but always managed to keep on going.
then one time he didn't.. i'm glad i got to know him again and spend some more time with him after so many years missed because of the wts but those years will always be lost forever.
Thank you sharing this story.
I was telling this new family we found about the JW shunning. I said I know it's all about punishing us, just like the god they worship...he's a BIG punisher. But how do you not "feel" anymore about a person? I guess they just can.
I really hate this religion.
tell us a little about yourself and your family.. racially a very mixed family.
we just looked like average white, working class brits.
dad was in the marine commandos in ww2.
Nice to read your story punky. Thank you for sharing.
I hate this corporation/religion too. I just hate it.

Yes we did Snakes! We went for Indian food for dinner didn't we? Yeah the fest was at a brewery. I think our group was there about 14-16 hours. I think I left at 2am. I think the taxi that took me there was worried about me and waited for me because he was there when I left and we arranged for the trip to the airport the next morning. I'll never forget that guy. He was a former mercenary...lol.
Maybe 2007?? I have pictures but they are probably on a dead camera. I really need to sort that, just no time.
Oh please please come to Tahoe! You will not regret it! I'm happy for your life, I see you on FB. Boy...we made it didn't we!
