Man... this guy! He is so focused on himself and his defense he cannot see the absurdity of the statements he makes.
He should not have ANYTHING to do with ANYBODY who has suffered sexual/emotional abuse of any kind. He is a predator.
We knew from the get go here he was a tool, unreasonable and vindictive, to say the least. But he is far far worse.

Regional Convention Attendance
by XBEHERE inelder friend of mine texted me asking what my rc attendance was 2 weeks ago (family and i streamed it since wife is not well).
he told me that his rc in the jersey city assembly hall last weekend was low.
co told them that around 2600 were the total from 16+ congs that were assigned.

I tried to watch Six Screens, as that convention location is where I live and attended. Those pictures though, wow. It used to be such a vibrant occasion and the location was very sweet by the ocean. Now, less than 3K in attendance! I didn't think it would be that low, and there are 12 conventions scheduled. Surprising also NO bibles. I know they use the App, but still!
This low attendance is good news to be sure, the REAL Good News! What a dreadful time to be a JW. And creepy.

The WT corp doesn't like certain words...like clergy, grace, gospel etc. Those are "Christendom's" words.
In quickly reading a dozen google definitions for clergy, the WT corp most definitely has a clergy whether some poor brother from the platform waxes sentimentally that "we are all brothers.." and says they do not. But the corporation doesn't like the word clergy.
It is very very clear from every word from corporate, obedience to the men in leadership in this organization is mandatory. This is a clergy by numerous definitions.
They just don't like the word. It's "Christendom's" word. They think if they tell the flock they are not a clergy, the followers will believe them.

When I renewed my internet service at my desert bunker when the one year special expired, they "made" me get a land line and TV as part of a bundle that was cheaper than just getting another year of internet.
I don't get it. I was perfectly fine without it.

All the Old JW Acquaintances Passing Away
by StephaneLaliberte inyesterday, my dad told me an older sister passed away.
she wasn't too old (in her 60s), but i knew her 30 years ago and haven't seen her in 15 years; the main reason being that i faded 10 years ago.. yesterday, i seriously considered attending the funeral and catch-up with old jws i used to know.
after thinking it over, i decided against it.

When my dad tried to kindly explain that he was too ill to attend the co-ordinator cut the call short and said he didn't have time to listen to all of my dad's health problems.
This infuriates me. I had a friend who experienced this. He was a month away from his passing and the secretary called to get his "time." He told him he had none to report. The elder pressed him for quite a while even asking "didn't you talk to meals on wheels, anybody? I don't want to put you down as irregular!" My ill and very sensitive friend was so distressed. I kept trying to tell him the elder was clueless and just "doing his job." But for me, this is one of the nails in the coffin. I left 1 year later.
Unless there is a caring group within the congregation who look after older/infirmed ones, they are on their own. There is no direction from the society to do any sort of care giving. I really hate this religion.
