Well, I will say that this site showed me I was not the only one having issues with the JW org. I "proved all things" by lots of library work and other studies and also was having panic attacks as they (The sisters) pressured me into going the distance......I interpreted it as a sign, for lack of a better word, and baled out!

What exactly was the proper food at the proper time?
by Hoping4Change inforgetting (and forgiving for the sake of discussion) all of the changes, mistakes and errors between the teachings from the late 1800's to 1920 by the bible students, what exactly was the "proper food" being dispensed during the "proper time" when jesus supposedly made his choice of this group of people to be the sole harbringers of truth?
i am assuming all of those changes/mistakes/errors, of course were not proper food, so what were the things being taught during jesus's selection that led him to select the bible students?
is there anything truly unique (and correct/accurate/proper) that can be claimed by the bible students during that time period that could warrant jesus' choice?.

Here's my question:
Baptized as a baby in a Episcopal Church by my parent.
Never baptized as an adult. 40 yrs. in the truth and never did it. (Ok, I was in and out), but what do ya' all think of getting baptized if you believe in Jesus as you're saviour? I read in one book, written by an x- J.W., that you can get you're girlfriend, basically, to baptize you!!!!! As long as you go under some body of water and say the "right" things!!!????

can anyone here point me to a review/analysis of this book, i v's post here with a comparison of the changes between the 1988 and 2006 versions, but looking for something that looks at the complete book.. .

THEY'RE HERE!

(after 3 years of me being out) and now they are canvasing like crazy all over the place with armfulls of stuff.

Good for you. Paul said to prove all things....I know I did, lots of research at the Library with all the theological books there and found that the JW's were not true to form and were a cult. Congrats!!!!

Way too many holdays in this country. Everytime you turn around there is no mail due to some kind of holiday.
I would normally say xmas, but my family is up north and I am stuck in Florida, so I hate it now.
Of course, Groundhog day is nice......really.
