by OUTLAW incanada is having an election..there are no real leaders among any of the candidates...........so..finallyfree and i are going to start our own political party..the bird and dog are coming together to form the "royal canadian bird dog party.
"...........in every election you need election promises..the more the better..here are some that i think will help capture the vote for us..............if elected:..every canadian will receive 1 case of kraft dinner and 1 pound of aged chedder cheese.....it will be against the law to sell a case of beer for more than$1.20.....celine dion can live anywhere but canada.....saturday and sunday are now the work week..monday to friday is now the legal week end.....people in eastern canada will have to speak in a manner, that at least 1 other person can understand them.....anyone entering canada must learn the word "eh" and use it at the end of every sentence.....people living in the interior of bc,will be taught what a vehicle turn signal is for....................those are the election promises i have for now......but..i need more!..i need some help to think up election promise`s,that will help all canadians!............remember..come election day..vote for the "royal canadian bird dog party!

Grade Four...will never forget...worst year burnt into my brain. Mom went in to meet with my teacher on the first day. They had their little discussion and it was decided that I would go to the Library in the morning. (or for any other holiday type activities.) I would spend the time in the morning helping the librarian put books away, organizing titles and such. I put up with the usual interrogations from my fellow students about my daily disappearance act all year long.
SO, finally the end of the year rolls around. There are 2 school assemblies, one for academic acheivement and one for sports/extra-curricular acheivement. Well the "wonderful" librarian decided that he would be nice and reward me for " all my great help EVERY MORNING DURING THE OPENING EXERCISES!" So I got to go up in front of the entire school and accept my crappy certificate. To top it off I am the only jw in the whole school, and I am painfully shy. I wanted to die. I knew that he was just trying to be nice, but I was so upset and humiliated, all at the age of nine.
All I can say is, after that year, when mom asked if I wanted her to talk to the teacher on the first day, or send a note, I took the note. I never gave it to the teacher, and I just stayed in class and stood up for the anthem and Lord's Prayer.
I will never subject my kids to that. Ever.

Generation Kill
by dottie indid any of you watch this mini-series??
i found it quite interesting and am now reading the book.
so far the book has a bit more insight than the movie, but after reading reviews and such, found out that this was done purposely to give the viewers more insight as to how little the men were informed about their objectives.

So far the book has a bit more insight than the movie, but after reading reviews and such, found out that this was done purposely to give the viewers more insight as to how little the men were informed about their objectives. I found that the series shed quite a bit of light on the fact that there are so many inexperienced soldiers (meaning not having the mental maturity)being placed in an authoritative role that should have no business leading others.
If you've seen it or read the book, what did you think?

Milk and Meat are poisoning people and destroying our health!
by Witness 007 ini have read a dozen different health books that come to this same conclusion.
what is milk?
mammal infants require milk from their own species to grow quickly and start solid food.

Well I certainly haven't posted for some time, but I couldn't resist, think this thread is hilarious! With regards to the pus in the milk...as I understand, it is caused by 'Mastitis'. As a mother of 2, I am quite familiar with Mastitis as some nursing mothers tend to develop this as well. Do you know what the Lactation Specialist says to do? Nurse through the pain, to clear it out. SO...I am finding this quite funny as some were probably nursed by a mother who had the same kind of infection that they are now paranoid of getting from friggin cow's milk...What was that fancy new process called now? Pasteurization... I agree about meat in moderation as well...I couldn't be without it. I've seen all the blips on animal slaughter, but what else ya gonna do with a bunch of pigs, cattle, poultry, sheep, etc that are raised for that purpose? Sanctuaries? Dottie, of the I Love Veal, Lamb and Foie Gras class, but only in moderation :) ***Sorry!!!I tried to edit for spacing but it didn't work...now I remember why I haven't posted for a while...***

I've been a fan of Rosie's for a while, and I've been too busy to watch the View daily I missed this episode. So, being a reader of her blog, i did a little looking and here's what I found. Needless to say I'm sorely disappointed
ibis writes:
Did you let a dog lick your kids hieny to clear up diaper rashes?
yes
the dr told me to
and my friend robyn had a dog with new puppies
and i brought hom over
and he played naked in the grass
toe mom dog licked his hiney
and it went away 100%Feather writes:
Did you have to suggest dogs molesting rashy baby butts as a good way to cure diaper rash today? I love you and ONLY watch The View because you?re on, but you?re scaring some of my mommy friends.
totally works
Me writes:
I cannot believe that you would advocate having your child licked in the genital area by your dog as a treatment for diaper rash. Someone with your audience and influence shouldn?t advocate such bs.
it works

What Should I Do???
by dottie inmy mom, a jw, tells me of her friend from the kh(who i know pretty well, nice lady) whose daughter has decided to move out with a "worldly" guy.
she is only 17 and has some post secondary education ahead of her (her parents are quite supportive of the education just not the "outsider" b/f).
more of a "know of her" scenario.. my mom told me that her parents have told her that if she is going to see this guy that they have to set an example for her 4 younger siblings and she would have to decide between the family or the guy...basically if you want to be with him you have to leave.

Thanks for the input everyone!
My intentions were to just let her know that she could come talk to me to vent about family related jw stuff that I'm sure her school friends or even boyfriend wouldn't understand. I know that at the "ripe old age" of 17 she knows everything LOL. After all I knew everything at that age too
She works at the hair salon right by my place so I might go in for a trim sometime this week...she does do a great job doing hair.
