by xjwms inits my mothers birthday.. she belongs to this senior dance club.
once a week about 85-100 get together with live music at a local dance hall and enjoy.. i am taking her out for lunch with family members and her friends.
at the dance hall i ordered a cake and coffee bar serves 100.. its a white cake with fresh strawberries and cream (her fav).

I would think it would depend on the personalities of the body of elders your dealing with.Once you jump through the required hoops of repentence I doubt it would matter if it was apostacy or fornication.

they invited me to germany on vacation but on the understanding that i told the rest of the gang (none gay) that i was indeed a witness!

Theres at least one in my area that I know of. When he was a witness he had a wife and a baby then they got divorced and he embraced his true calling. When he was a hetrosexual it was pretty obvious to me that he was repressing or going against his true nature.

How up are you on the music and musical artist, hot today?
by free2beme inas i get older, i understand more the generation gap we always remembered being mentioned with our parents.
i always thought i was on top of the music scene, as i used to run a music and video store in the late 80's.
i thought it kept me on a path, that would keep me in the know of what was hot and what was not.

Yes I have experienced this also. I am a musician and play out professionally. I try to keep up with music that people will listen to in a bar. That equates to music that is on Juke boxes in various bars. This also equates to music that is made with instruments. I dont listen to music that is not played by someone who has musical ability. I dont listen to rap or hip hop. Rap and hip hop may be my generation gap. I dont know. I dont really consider rap music. Just because they play it on the radio doesnt make it music to me any more than listening to rush limbaugh is music. The hip hop I have heard tends to be samples of other peoples music I dont consider sampling playing music so I dont relate to it and wont go out of my way to listen to it. I am 53 but I still listen to young artist. One that I can think of that makes music that I relate to is Gavin Degraw. The musical generation gap began for me back in the 70's when Kiss came out. I couldnt relate to cartoon characters or their music. When I was in my 20's music by Kiss was for a child like 5 or 6. That is the first generation gap I remember.

I work for the government, in a jail. I would have had to work but I'm on vacation. I didnt do much, went to the gym for an hour. Played my guitar. Surfed the net. Drank some beer. Took some naps. Posted here. I work midnights so im starting to wake up now. 11:20

i was born into a jw family in 1981. i spent my child hood not only going to every meeting but also in a home schooling program ran by some of the congregation folks with children.

I'd appreciate some insight on what my mother claims was said at assembly
by free2beme inokay, well my mother called this evening and was all emotional about her one day assembly.
i was shocked she brought it up, as we just do not mention the religion anymore, but lately little things keep getting said at her conventions and assemblies that seem to be making this line something she wants to cross more these days.
what she brought up, was something i had not heard mentioned on here and i wanted some insight from people who actually heard it or knew more about it.

I just called my wife who was spending labor day with her witness family and asked about this message. She told me that her mother went out door to door yesterday, bothering the neighbors, and that her niece just began pioneering. It doesnt seem that the preaching work has ceased in Florida yet.
