  How did you feel when you found out Jehovah's Witnesses were a cult?

  The above is the first definition of cult on dictionary.com. That sounds like the catholic church would be a cult.

  4.	a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc. This could be catholics, baptist, pentacostals

  6.	a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader.

  jw's have been making pests of themselves at my house.

  2 weeks ago 2 guys came here and gwen let them have it, nicely.

  they will never be back she thought, and so did i. well today, while i was at a job, two ladies came by (one has been here before, and i have met her, but i don't know her).

  An elder told me that I can give blood here, but not there...

  a few years ago, i was diagnosed with too much iron in my blood.

  most people lack iron, but i have too much.

  with time, this iron lodges in the body, and it's not good.. so, my doctor told me to give blood a few times a year and this problem would be solved.

  But what I'm getting to is, why can I take out blood at the hospital and no matter what they do with that blood isn't my responsibility anymore says the elder, but I can't give blood at a blood bank that will be used for a patient.

  Because you complicated your life by bringing an idiot into it, an elder.

  Did the JW life, cause anxiety?

  often i heard the elders say, "when a person is physically sick, they should go see a doctor, and in the same way, when you're spiritually sick you should go see the elders".

  so, they compare themselves to doctors.... so, for the sake of it, let's say a jw went to see a doctor and complained about anxiety due to jw meetings and their way of life, and being stressed because the watchtower asks too much.. now lets say the doctor would say, the cause of your problems is your religion, stop going and you'll feel better !

  so, you go tell the elders that the root of your anxiety is the meetings and field service and all the stress related to the jw religion.

  I'm sure if I would have went to see a doctor, they would have told me to quit being a JW.

  Especially if you went to see a psychiatrist.

  i have finished my last class and will graduate on october 14th with my bachelors degree in business administration/management thirty three years after graduating from high school and 30 years after leaving the borg!

  one more step in the healing process.

  why can't you make it annonymous? call with a cell phone or pay phone if you need to. or you could go from door to door disguised as you know what and get a petition going so that you can take it to the cops, they can take it to a judge and get a warrant to check the house and bust them. Some places the police do not respond to anonomous complaints. It seems that they like to tell the bad guy who is complaining about them. Its crazy.

  WITNESSES AND 'FALSE RELIGION'

  i thought of something after reading pioneer spirit's thread about the un debacle and their dub father's justification of it and he brought up a point i hadn't thought of before.

  he said that jesus "...went into the temple and synagogues even tho he knew they were false religion....".

  yes, jesus condemned the pharisees and what their religion had become, but as ps's father pointed out, jesus still went into the temples and synagogues.. so then my question is: why aren't witnesses allowed to go into other churches, even thought they "know" they're false religion?

  They can go to other churches they just cant tell their fellow witnesses they went.

  How did you handle birthdays at work -school?

  when i look back, i foolish it was as people around you at work enjoyed a piece of cake and you were the only one that refused it.

  you had to explain why we could not have a piece and how wrong it was in god's eyes.. looking back it was stupidity at its best, the almighty god jehovah will destroy you if you eat a piece of cake.. the jw's brag they are some of the most educated bible scholars in the world that know how to worship god..

  When I was in grade school 1-6 back in the 60's My mother made me go and sit in the school office during any celebrations. Im still angry about that.
