there seems to be a great deal of interest in the subject.. so, i ask our members, what do you think about the veracity of the biological theory known as evolution?.

for me personally, it was the way they always downgrade jesus to be an angel and are promoting the governing body in his place.. also when the society taught that jesus was abaddon/apollyon the fallen angel in revelation..

!.....hi old friends....it would be sooooo much easier if you work for a company...with normal people around you....but damm if you have your own biz for thirty years with five jw employees out of 15 that pretty much run your company.....well just crap!!

!....anyhwho.....good luck to all moving on....it can be a bitch...but it is worth it....and damm divorce is a bitch...and so is settlement...and so is fukkin alimony!!!!!!

How the TRINITY covers up the murder of Jehovah

jehovah is one of the most colorful personalities in history!.

he is mighty, awe-inspiring, violent, whimsical, repenting of having even created man--yet, capable of bargaining with the likes of lot and stopping the literal-minded abram from stabbing his own isaac to death as a sacrifice.. jehovah flies into a rage and wipes out thousands in a heartbeat, sends she-bears to tear children apart, drowns millions of men, women, children and pregnant women in a worldwide flood---but, champions one family of 8.. this same super-deity walks in the garden of eden in the breezy part of the day, wrestles with jacob all night and can only manage to get away by crippling him!

jehovah leads the children of israel to freedom out of egypt and yet opens up the earth and swallows up many of the same people when moses delays returning from sinai and they slip into their old ways.. what a character!

You make me realize, I believe in a God of my own understanding and my belief is based on faith.

IF THE BIBLE is so darned great---why don't people JUST read IT?

working in a bookstore i notice the thousands and thousands of books "explaining" what the bible really "means.".

those are what people read.. when people say they read the bible they are really saying they "try".

but, it is like reading chinese.. so, what they end up doing is reading opinions.. opinions, conjectures, hypothesis, fantasy, imaginative ruminations, fanciful concoctions......other people's ideas presented as documentary fact.. .

Looking at the things you say Terry, your 90 to 99 percent right on and im 9 to 10% off in my evaluations.

If your a naturalist, a materialist and dont allow for miracles your probably 99% correct.

I used to sing the same song you sing.

You say people seek and find because they want to find what they seek there.

Right on thats me, you nailed it.

I agree theres not a lot of hard facts found in the bible, if there were I'd be using them against you.

All I have is the 1% faith factor and my own experiences, jaded as they may be.

One thing I have found is you become what you think about.

Its obvious what you think about.

And I'm pretty sure you have what I think about peged.

I dont go to meetings or church. I dont give my money away. I dont deny myself any pleasures that my eye craves

and my pocket book can afford.

As far as I can tell I am living and enjoying this life to the best of my ability.

There are faith based intangible promises in the bible, and there is also practical advice to get through the day and life.

I'm around a lot of people that lean on God, they pray to God for strength to make it through the day.

And it seems to work. We hold hands in muster and say the lords prayer and ask to make it through our

shift every day.

I think if I didnt pray to God and he didnt give me strength, I'd be pushing a shopping cart down the street and

end up being an inmate in the jail instead of the jailer.

So I guess to you I am mentally weak, but I know to some I am strong. Its perception. And I know where I get my strength.

And I am around a lot of weak people and I know where the get their weakness from, because I talk to them.

I'm not really afraid of dying, I've lived a long time. I like life, but I like sleep also.

Death is like a good long sleep with no alarm clocks.

I would have liked a little more leisure and a lot less work in this life. I thank Jehovahs witnesses for all the work.

I guess I enjoy the drama, tension friction and stimulation of exchanging with people who have different perceptions and beliefs.

But you realy pour water all over my corn flakes and make them soggy with your reality.

Im going to throw my corn flakes out and get me a Jesus Beer.

What's Your Attitude Toward Jehovah's Witnesses?

The Jehovahs witnesses adversley effected my life. I have anger about that that is constantly aggitated and

arroused.

The Jehovahs witnesses that I know that are still in, their life wasnt adversely affected. They enjoyed working

in the trades and ended up with a good life and a good retirement.

probably many of them would say I am suffering and dissapointed because I left Jehovahs organization.

THe witnesses I know are not suffering so there is nothing to feel sorry for them about.

We are all going to die, thats the deal, no one gets around that one.

THe witnesses I know like meetings and assemblies and wasting time.

THe ones I know seemed to have a pretty good life, it makes me wonder for a moment did i screw up.

But 76 was real. 75 was a lie. God wouldnt lie.

But a greedy publishing company would.

I was born in and believed until 1976.

I like to think I would have made different choices prior to 76, if I wasnt lied to.

Choices that would have affected the rest of my life just as the ones I made affected the rest of my life.

life is a coin and what you observe Terry seems true. Your looking at the dull, dark side of the coin.

The other side is shiny and optomistic.

If you could absolutely positively prove their is no God and the bible is everything bad you say it is people will still

hold it up and embrace it because people are looking for something, people are trying to scratch and itch that

only faith and hope can address.

The world wouldnt be any better if everybody was an atheist.

ANd the world wouldnt be any better if everybody was a Christian. Based on the past history of Christians.

The world would be better if everybody loved one another and made love and not war.

But thats not going to happen.

It is what it is.

Everybody owes one death in the end.

You can go kicking and screaming mad and angry or happy and peaceful with a smile on your face.
