  SHOULD JWS EAT READY MEALS?

  i understand that they make you lethargic,inrease blood pressure and bad cholestrol... as the bible says that the body is the temple of the lord,should true christian eat ready meals?.

  i can't describe what i feel, when i see my mum as a jw.

  sometimes (like today) it really gets me down knowing she and millions of others are living a life that is not going anywhere.. she's been to the british musuem, i've gotten e-mails from the british musuem.

  we've read literature/websites/bible e.t.c.

  With my wife I played the long game and waited. I let her know what I was not happy with about the "truth". I didn't ask her to look at anything that would have put her on the defensive. She never felt I was apostate, so would "murmour " to me about things in the "truth", of course I was then able to agree with her and slip in the odd comment or two.

  I kept faith that she would see through it, her meetings slipped and ministry became non-existent. And eventually she saw the light. Having said that my wife says that she wishes I had forced the issue and told her to read CofC and look at JWD etc. earlier so she could have come out sooner. But I am not sure it would have worked.

  I know that our situations are a lot different. But just keep believing that one day your mum will come through. She will need a lot of help then.

  Its great to know you love your mum so much, that will help a lot. Best of luck

  Intellectual dishonesty in the New Tract !

  in reviewing the new tract i noticed some interesting dishonesty within;

  on page three when the wts is describing 'false religion' riding on the back of the scarlet colored wild beast - they coyly refer to the beast as ' the world's political powers*'

  - the footnote reads " * for a detailed explanation of this subject, see the book revelation - its grand climax at hand published by jehovah's witnesses.

  this was such a sad exhange and just shows how unnatural this bogus rule by the wbts is.. i see my moms name on the caller id and i immediately pick up.

  (keep in mind we live 2 blocks apart).

  my mom says julia?, and i say no mom its me, you must have dialed the wrong number.. mom: oh, i'm sorry, how are you?

  I also agree with this:

  I don't think it would take much of a loophole to get your mom back in your life and in doing so it may get her to realize what an utter shame the shunning policy is.

  The outworking of history identifies this image as the organization proposed, promoted, and supported by Britain and the United States and known initially as the League of Nations. Later, in Revelation chapter 17, it will appear under a different symbol, that of a living, breathing scarlet-colored wild beast having an independent existence. Edited to add comments: Notice haw the UN ostracises those that don't bow to its ideologies, a living death. Can you think of any other organisation that will do that?

  i am trying to compile a list of proof's, issues, lies, etc that prove that the wts is not jehovah's channel.

  These were the issues that I came across and investigated in chronological order:

  1. Blood Issue
  2. Organ donation flip flop
  3. Generation change
  4. Failed prophecies 1975 etc.
  5. That Jehovah's Witnesses were phrophesied about in the bible
  6. Faithful and Discreet Slave doctrine. (1 verse in the bible interpreted so that we have to surrender our lives to the Watchtower)

  a couple of years ago after talking about 1975 and the generation change with 2 elders i asked them what we would call another religion if they were wrong with dates and had to change prophecies.

  no answer was forthcoming so i offered "false prophets?".

  one elder agreed we probably would, the other was deadly silent.. anyway i thought i would look up false prophets and found this... *** g93 3/22 pp.

  Want to believe! ; How many of us rationalized like a mad bastard for YEARS before admitting it was a sham? ; Near the end when the cracks were getting bigger so were the rationalizations!

  The good ;thing about putting out a magazine with constantly shifting positions is that over the course of 120ish years you have effectively covered both sides of the argument to the point where if beliefs change or shit hits the fan you can then quote yourself at some point in the past supporting your current position NO MATTER WHAT the current position happens to be! ; In that way you can make it seem that your current position is the position you have always maintained! ; It also gives you the ability to ignore old quotes as 'old light' (unless it supports the current position!)

  That is true, they can never be wrong. Mind you if they can never be wrong doesn't that make True Prophets. LOL

  Actually I think she felt backed into a corner. She is frightened to find out the real truth because then she will have to acknowledge that she has been wrong. I am not sure she is able to do that. She probably knows (maybe at a subconscious level) that if she starts to investigate the watchtower it will fall apart. We are also expecting a call soon because of that conversation.

  They can't have it both ways. Either they are God's organization and must be obeyed because they speak for Him, or they're a bunch of guys with some interesting ideas and anybody coming into a KH can think what he wants of it.

  ok - this thread about wt and their money got me thinking.... http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/116971/1.ashx ...for all those here that still attend meetings.. go to your "literature servant" at the next meeting and request a couple new bibles, wt cd's, songbooks, or double your magazine order, etc.

  just make sure you forget to donate.. lets keep those wt printers busy!!!

  When I was on the accounts it would appear that most people "forgot" to donate. About once a year we would send a cheque form the congregations funds to cover at least come of the shortfall
