  this afternoon i went out to lunch with a few witnesses who were talking and talking about what .

  a great district assembly program there is going to be this year.

  they have not gone yet, but people from their old congregation which is up in northern wisconsin .

  Another point is they think that becoming an Witness will help to loose your fears (fear of death, fear of hellfire) and instead they MULTIPLIED those fears by an exponential factor! Think about it:

  Fear of loosing it before Armageddon, Fear of not pleasing Jehober, Fear of your own sins/thoughts, Fear of persecution, Fear, Fear, Fear......heck, when I was young I even feared to talk openly, since I was thaugth that the big, bad boy Satan can't read your mind but uses whatever you say/do against you...so for a while I was a very sad kid, that barely talked, so S. couldn't hear me.....crazy, isn't it? They even fear dying before the big A, because otherwise you will ressurrect as a sexless drone that is condemned to plant tomatoes forever and read the WT magazines.....

  .......I once visited a doctor, and she asked me what the matter was with our religion since amongst her patients, the highest rates of depressions where from Witnesses....she was a friendly lady, that I used to witness, and I could see that she was seriously concerned....

  There was a TV report about the Internet and it's far reaching power and some guy said: "You know, the Internet makes you like God, because you can be everywhere..."

  My mother was watching this and was shocked.....

  .....me: . YES, I AM GOD (at least thats what my cat thinks everytime she sees me opening a can of food ....a God above a former Egyptian god=cats....) PLUS the Internet, now that makes me pretty powerfull....

  I'm simplifying my life, too - just barely going by to please the family (my mother 40 years in the troof, my wife, etc.)

  As soon as they announced that the book study was being dropped (in 2009 because it is now considered a burden), I stopped attending altogether.....i have the burden NOW, you miserable crock heads in Brooklyn, .....NOW. Not in 2009. So I stopped to go immediately.

  Jing says that this phenomenon in the archaeological record suggests that people had less freedom to express their individuality and became less creative. When a Society/Organization becomes rigid and homogenous, theres greater potential for collapse.

  "Standardized and simplified".....Does that ring a bell? (pun intended...)

  THIS is exactly what I see - i've had recently the Watchtower reading (yes, i keep receiving privy leges....the HS can't obviously tell the difference from an "Boot-licking-Ministerial Servant" and an full-fledged apostate...but, well that's another topic).....BUT, what I saw (looking into the room) was faces that are sad, depressed and without any vitality....I started to count how many of those in the auditorium had severe depressive states of mind and came to 14 (known cases!) out of 110 publishers....the interesting part is that some of those where people with active lifes BEFORE they became JW....

  the game map is loosely based on new york and if you look across the river to the right of what looks like the brooklyn bridge you will see a neon sign on top of a building which says 'clocktower'.. i bet they have no idea.

  Loved that one. I don't have an XBOX - would love to have one.....but, you guys know where I FIRST learned to play Grand Theft Auto (Vice City)???? .....suspense building......

  .......well, at BET HELL!!!! A friend of mine is there and used to play the game (with some others). I used to go there and play for a couple of hours...hilarious, isn't it?

  (I obviously can't say where, otherwise my friend will have a some "Bethel Gestapo Raiding" and well....you know.

  35 years of a jw life i have come to the conclusion that this got to be the best sentence in the bible and reflects my thinking.

  three words......only three words, in form of a question that could have saved me over 30 years of %$#% experiences with the wt.. think about the deepness of this sentence....

  Thinking for yourself is TRUE liberty and FREEDOM......

  ......I have learned to sit through the meetings and completely shut off any outside talking (the great advantage of Kingdumb Hells or ASS-emblies is that everybody GOT TO SHUT UP....so I can think for myself.....actually I have mentally rehearsed stuff that I have to do at work and even devised genius money making businesses.....you've just got to love those meetings.....I just create my own spiritual food....

  35 years of a jw life i have come to the conclusion that this got to be the best sentence in the bible and reflects my thinking.

  three words......only three words, in form of a question that could have saved me over 30 years of %$#% experiences with the wt.. think about the deepness of this sentence....

  Wow! Narkissos, I didn't knew that Nietzsche said so....

  ...at least Pilate wasn't a sucker that fell for the lure of finding truth.

  That sentence is actually quite important to me, I keep seeing things around me (news, at work, etc.) where people are trying to find the absolute truth. The truth is> there is NONE!

  It is refreshing, indeed, to become an Atheist.....more clarity in my mind.....spirits and ghosts are GONE forever......fears and anxieties crushed and shattered in thousand pieces. This is just MY path into mental freedom from these bastards.
