JoinedMy mother was baptized while she was pregnant with me. So I guess I was baptized twice (sort of). I was raised a Witness my whole life. All my friends came for the Kingdom Hall because I shunned the outside world. As we became teenagers and adults, my friends one-by-one would be disfellowshiped. My girlfriend was disfellowshiped! (I ran with a crazy crowd.) I stayed "faithful" in the Organization for year. All along I started having doubts creep up around me about the Witnesses. When my girlfriend was re-instated, we soon got married in the Kingdom Hall by my best friend and then elder. My wife and I tried to be the good Witness couple for a while. But in the end it wasn't for her. We would have heated arguments about the Witnesses. In the end we became inactive. I went to college and started looking into religion and a secular views of the Witnesses. That's when my eyes were open! Although now I don't claim to have an answer, I am not closer to the real truth. That Witnesses are full shit as are other religions. Christian beliefs all stem form earlier pagan beliefs. The whole religion thing is plainly a control device to control people. Now that I come to this conclusion my parents and brother will no longer speak with me. (Although I have done nothing scripturally wrong.) Now my wife and I are moving on with life without the Jehovah's Witnesses. Forever and ever amen!
