How many need to die before it raises a flag?!
by loli ini don't know about the rest of you, but in my geographical area, it seems that when a person is df'd, it raises their risk of suicide.
not only did i lose my baby sister when she was 21 this way, but in the last 5 years there have been seven people in the circuit who have taken their own lives.
some perhaps are considering it, or have attempted it and nobody reveals it.

Hello all! I don't know about the rest of you, but in my geographical area, it seems that when a person is df'd, it raises their risk of suicide. Not only did I lose my baby sister when she was 21 this way, but in the last 5 years there have been seven people in the circuit who have taken their own lives. Some perhaps are considering it, or have attempted it and nobody reveals it. Recently and elder who was "deleted" ended his life in a rural high school parking lot because of the shame of an affair. Could this be the antithesis to, "By this all will know that you are my disciples if you have love among yourselves?" Comments, please, I am hurting for these people.

Did you block out your Witness life?
by achickwwit ini stopped going to meetings at age 19 or 20. my brother had been df'd.
my sister and her new bethalite husband had left the organization labeled as apostates, and my single mom followed suit.
i was pretty much raised by the congregation, though i lived with my isolated mother.

Welcome! I have been away from the org for almost six years now. Some elelments I have consciously blocked out. Other things still plague me in my dream state. I will have dreams about judicial committee meetings, etc. Just learn to really live life by seeking happiness and accept yourself for who you are. Peace

Hi BLISS! Haven't been yet, but I'm taking my son next month for his 17th birthday. I'm sure it will be great. He is a Chad Smith fan (they both play the same drum kit). Your son will have a blast!

Top ten issues to prove that JW's do not have "the truth"
by TweetieBird ini am trying to compile a list of proof's, issues, lies, etc that prove that the wts is not jehovah's channel.
.
what are your top reasons for now believing that it is not the truth?
-
loli
The witnesses claim to have absolute truth. Uhhh...but it keeps changing. Also, they claim to be so loving, but some of the most mean-spirited, intolerant people are the "leaders." They say they honor Jesus, but, isn't the GB extremely similar to the Pharisees of his day? Jesus was all about your spirit on the inside, not all the external showy stuff that gets attention from other humans. Hope this helps.

But what if they're right............still the Truth?
by ScoobySnax inthis will probably apply to few here, but to me it'll always be that way.
it's the what if syndrome maybe, but it's always there.
i still think that as a core belief system the jw's have it right, even if their delivery isn't always right.

Hi Scooby! Didn't Jesus say that love would be the identifying mark of his followers? How can you pull your love away from someone just because the object of their affection happens to be of the same gender? Puh-leeeez! Wherever any one of us can find another person to share companionship, love, or even hot swinginging-from-the-rafters sex, why is that a bad thing as long as all involved are consenting? Why would the supposed supreme diety of all eternity care about such things? Homophobia is not a loving attitude in my opinion. Good luck!
