Leap forward a few decades - divorced from a lovely sister who quit the truth to sow her wild oats - she claims it was because I didn't feel like attending meetings anymore
I hear ya DnC, seems to be pretty common these days!
Welcome!!
30 of my 40 some years on this mortal coil have been spent as a witness.
once i was old enough to realize the meetings were not a place to play and run around i understood the gravity of my situation.
"just love jehovah and do his will" i was told.

Welcome!!
as many of you know, audesapere (denise) had reconstructive knee surgery last wednesday.
the surgery ended up being quite a bit more involved then she originally anticipated.
she has approximately 5 more weeks walking with crutches and then i believe she will continue with physical therapy.. denise made it through the first several days post-op like a trooper!
(((Aude)))
Heal up soon!!!
for those not familiar, i faded from the organization many years ago and my wife hasn't been to any meetings or service in about 5-6 years either.
though she insists she's still a jw so we don't celebrate holidays and the children aren't allowed to participate in holiday activities at school.
i was content for many years to just let her do her own thing, but when the children started going to school i noticed how confusing it was for them.
Great News!!! Baby steps Para....Baby steps!!!
for those of you who think im nuts already (which i am), i am going to by a cam with night vision and infrared recording.
the reason why, is im going to set it up in my sons room tonight and see if i can catch any paranormal activity on it.
i know what i saw, and i know my son see's stuff alot........so, im either going to prove to myself im wrong, or prove you sceptics wrong about the paranormal.
Maybe you should leave the Buttlight on to scare them away!!
C'mon spit it out !

Must be feeling a bit lonely today??
Keep up the good work!!
we are going to be building our first home this fall or next spring.
kind of depends on the finances because all the prep work with the septic, utilities and retaining walls has really put a dent in our savings.. in the meantime, i did a little quick analysis on our spending habits and found that we spend on average about $1000.00 on food a month for a family of 6. one of them is a baby.. so, we need to bite the bullet and draw up a budget because this is ridiculous!.
so, can anyone offer advice on the simplest way to do this?
Here is a book that FreeChick turned me onto, it definately has some great advise on smart ways to save money! In it he makes you aware of how much money we spend on things we really don't need, he calls it the "Latte Factor". Those little things add up over the course of a year!
