  .....another Watchtower contradiction.

  far be it from the jehovah's witnesses to talk out of both sides of their mouth.. far be it from jehovah's witnesses to doublespeak.. below is a perfect example of how gods chosen channel of truth has evidently forgotten what they previously stated in the "watchtower" which is their gods own publication for dispensing bible based truths to mankind.. .

  "at times explanations given by jehovah's visible organization have shown adjustments, seemingly to previous points of view.

  but this has not actually been the case.

  Finding My Father (help)

  thanks to everyone that sent links to search for my father.. i have found a man with the same name, born in the same month and year, in a town next to where we lived the last i saw him.

  there is an address and phone number connected with the name.

  he is in florida.. the telephone number gives the name of the company the phone is listed with.. i can find the address on mapquest but do now know if this is a number for a business or residence.

  Try zabasearch on the web, they give phone #s free, but charge if you want more info. Intellus will give some info, will give his previous adresses as well if you pay the fee

  HELP! I got a call from an elder today!

  an elder in my hall finally called me after 7 months after me moving out on my own.

  he was inquiring about how i was doing and which hall i needed my publishers card sent too.

  (of course i did not ansewr and he left a message) up until now, my parents still think i go to meetings (although even my mom has been wondering why my publishers card has not been sent over) i keep stalling insisting i don't know why and that i am regular at meetings and service.

  Who denied holidays first - WWCOG or JW's?

  another thread indicated that wwcog had been ahead of jw's in saying that holidays were 'verbotten' - and that the wts then picked up on the cue as additional ammunition to keep witnesses under control and 'seperate from the world'.. can this be confirmed with dates/times ?

  now that i look back,all witnesses are used to do the societies dirty work and peddle watchtower literature .the ministry school is used as a tool to go out and sell books.new members must go out and preach or else they cannot get baptized.young children are called ''publishers'' even if they don't know anything about the bible.the elderly who cannot walk must do phone witnessing or else they will be on the irregular preaching list.

  ten hours a month averages are stressed so you feel like your not doing enough.

  "pioneer for the summer" talks are another means to push everyone that is out of school or has summer vacation.sell all the old stock of books{197 page books} that are sitting in the warehouse.pass out pamplets and the list goes on.if you don't ,the new recruits will!

  More Earthquakes? What did Jesus really mean?

  i think that when jesus said "... there would be earthquakes in one-place after another ..." he was saying those things would happen but that those things were not the sign, he said those things must take place but the end is not yet.

  disasters are unavoidably distracting.

  what jesus said was of similar content to his discussion of the galileans whose blood was mixed with a sacrifice or those 18 persons who died when the tower of siloam fell on them.

  even my nazis jw mom wanted to do it!.

  Why is the Watchtower Society so cruel to teens?

  my mom just informed me that a 17 year old has been disfellowshipped at her hall.at least 7 others have been kicked out within the last 5 years.the publisher count is only 56 .why do they let the teens get baptized so young?

  i was 14 and only got baptized because of pressure and the end was coming.if you weren't baptized you would be destroyed.. why don't they wait until everyone is at leat 21?

  all these teens haven't come back and you won't ever see them unless they return.i haven't seen my cousin in over 2 years.no one went to his wedding,isn't invited to any family functions and is to be avoided at all costs.. the watchtower society should be ashamed that they act that way and the parents let them get away with it..

  Guess I was fortunate, raised jw, but didn't get baptised till the day after I turned 30, always told family I would when I turned 30 because Jesus did.

  Tes, but my parents never realy talked about it, mostly it was used to visit the now-jw sides of the family.,, being

  1) everybodies off work, good chance to visit

  2) it's too hot to bake a turkey in the summer

  3) it's cold outside and need heater on, might as well bake a turkey

  4) we always blessed meals anyway

  this is driving me crazy....this is a classical piece by anton rubinstein called melody in f. i swear they used major parts of it as the basis for a kingdom song.

  does anyone recognize it and if so can you tell me which kingdom song?

  Actualy if the music is 70 years past the death of the composer,is it public domain and can be used without copywrite infringements. A good example is the William Tell Overture being used by 'The Lone Ranger.
