Martial Arts ultimate self-help system
by zagor inafter leaving j-dubs one of the first things i did was to enroll in kung fu martial arts school (and recently even started doing ninjutsu).
it was one of the best decisions ive ever made, until recent times at least.. what ive quickly learned was that beauty of martial arts transcends physical skill and techniques.
it is by no means only whole body workout; it is body and mind workout in its fullest sense.. to master advanced level of martial arts one cannot skip over underlying philosophy.

I remember going when we lived in Arkansas, but didn't get past the 1st house, they were the most sociable people I ever met, It wasn't unusual to spend 2-3 hours in service and not get past 2-3 houses. Of course that was in1967, before people knew about all the mispredictions.

Pontius Pilate
by lighthouse19something inwe i read about jesus' trail, it appears he had more compassion than the jews.
jesus practicly told he powerless in the matter, that's when pilate washed his hands and disavowed responabilty for jesus' death.
a clergyman said he had read that pilate later became a christian.

"I wanted to throw the book across the room"
by GetBusyLiving ini just read the topic "i thought i was alone" by newbie elinor.
i found it interesting how he mentioned that he wanted to throw the daniel book "across the room" after reading some of the many misapplied prophecies concocted by the overlord's in brooklyn.
when i was a jw i also fantasized at times of throwing the book across the room, but for me it was the revelation book over ten years ago.

Utterances from the mouths of JW`s that prove they are in a cult. Any?
by jambon1 inquotes from the wt publications are indeed hair raising enough.
but i find the utterances of jehovahs witnesses themselves to be even more intriguing.
mainly because it shows just what kind of people the religion produces.. below are some that stand out to me in from my time in the organisation.

Prince Thanks "Jehovah God" on BET Awards Tonight...
by owenfieldreams injust watched it about an hour ago.
i know that it's old news that he got involved with the organization while his career was basically in a free fall, but now that he is enjoying some success again, i am very surprised that he is still claiming to even be a jw.

INSIGHT ON THE SCRIPTURES
by lighthouse19something ini realize the publication is biased toward the jw doctrines, but is it accurate on the noncontroversial topics.
i spent good $ on it when it came out, and i wondered if anyone had opinions.
