  Collage education, my father's veterans benefits would have even been increased if I went, but 'time was too short', I also probably married the non-jw girl next door. That was likely a good thing .

  When did it all go wrong for the WTS? I say 1980's.....

  after speaking to an elderly jw a few weeks ago, it occured to me that the wts genuinely experienced good times in the 50's and 60's, perhaps the 1970's.

  it seemed a good place to be.

  people seemed more relaxed.

  Why doesn't the Holy Spirit know the day and hour of Jesus return?

  everytime you talk about the trinity to born-again christians and bring up the verse where it says of the day and hour only the father knows they will immediately say jesus was in his "human nature" that is why he does not know.

  but my question is why don't the holy spirit know the day and hour?

  is the holy spirit in human nature as well?

  The Holy Spirit is the omnipresence of the Father, Jesus did not have any power on his own. The power he used for miracles was the HS which God gave him use of at baptisim. Jesus also lost the HS at his execution, that is why Jesus ask the Father 'why have you forsaken me".

  I don't know how many jws died by refusing blood, But it was more than Jonestown, Waco, Heavens Gate, but not as my as Hitler's Blood Flag religion, or ancient pagans which practiced human sacrifices

  my grandmother didn't, my mother didn't and neither did i. so how does this continue in this advanced day and age?.

  why would any woman put up with it?.

  i saw the results of women getting beat attending the hall.

  my sister and i, are my mothers only two children.

  we were both witnesses at one point, i left ten year ago and my sister left in 2005. my mother remains as the only witness left in my immediate family.

  while my sister and i make good money, with our careers and duel income in marriage, we don't talk about it much.

  I remember a jw contractor being df for not completeling his jobs.I believe he got in trouble for taking deposits from other jws.

  I never heard of anyone being df for materialism, but have heard of big donations as being proof of not being so. I went to a kh that had Lexus', Cadillacs, Mercedes and Lincolns in the parking lot.

  Do you think your mother could flaunting her money as a way of getting you to come back to wts? Has she threatened to cutoff inheritances if you don't come back?
