  thought id inject a bit of light hearted humor , any stories of elders who were unorthodox in a witness way , .

  there was one elder in the hall i used to attend called ronnie [edit] , who i still like and admire as a person to this day , he was always very outspoken when he didnt agree with the society on there policy and doctrines and was pra, ctically opposed to bethel service , i remember him giving a talk on applying for bethel service in the km many years ago , and at the end of the talk he said joking with a wry smile , i dont know why any of the brothers would want to do that , sounds like slave labour to me, also whe he was conducting the revelation book study , when it talked about the seven plagues of god being fulfilled in a wt convention in ohio in 1919 , he turned round and said , i dont know where the society get all this from , ... .

  he also had a very distinctive voice spoken thru pursed lips in a rasp like voice saying thats just stupid , whenever he didnt agree with the society and other elders , a great man in spite of his beliefs , he was one of the elders on my jc who srongly opposed my disfellowshipping , but he was overuled- .

  How did you feel, when you missed your 1st Memorial?

  i remember going to each memorial even when i was inactive.

  i felt that i had to go to atleast that meeting.. then one year, i was sick on that day, and didn't go to the memorial.

  it was a funny feeling to miss the most important day of the year, as a jw would call it.. but i got used to it, when i missed my 2nd and 3rd memorial..

  what's the latest film that you watched on dvd or cinema and would you recommend it or was it bad boring film?

  i haven't watched any films for months now but i will when i restart my satellite tv subscription next month.

  talkin of the memorial , you goin to the cheese an wine evenin as well are ye?, just imagine if you were of the anointed an you were an alky , youd have a real problem on your hands eatin the crackers without the wine, i suppose you could quote acts 15 v29 as an explanation to the jc

  click with adam sandler went with my girlfriend on saturday , very funny , will really cheer you up , and the ringer , with jonny knoxville from jackass , a bit near the knuckle and potentially offensive at times , but nonetheless very funny , i love comedies - laughter is good medicine

  hi everyone , pleased to be on the forum , been out the witnesses for 9 years this dec , used to be a reg pioneer attended pioneer school in feb 1990 at belmont road was min serv at age 18 when they changed age, ive come on the site to offer support to any witnesses or ex witnesses who are struggling in or out the org and to get support myself, was defoed for starting a relationship with a non witness woman .

  lifes a journey , started reading the bible again without any org ties , finding it interesting ,
