camping information.
by James Brown inmy wife and i are planning on taking a year off and taking a jeep and a camper through all the 48 contiguous states and alaska and some of canada.. living in florida, i have always had guns and a concealed carry permit.
but researching for our upcoming retirement vacation, it seems to me that i might not be able to legally carry firearms on my upcoming expedition.. it seems every state has different laws and licenses.
what does a camper from florida do when he goes to new york or california?

The site I listed previously has Canada information. More specifically, http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/information/lic-per-eng.htm has info. on getting permission to bring firearms. Click on Visitor/Non-resident. Still, it sounds like a hassle. You can do it, most likely. But I say: Bring your baseball bat and leave the guns in Florida. -

Oh yeah, Canada: http://www.ezbordercrossing.com/the-inspection-experience/transporting-firearms/bringing-a-firearm-into-canada/#.VYxXK_lViko
They don't allow handguns except for target ranges. It would not be allowed for self-defense or hunting and I think they would want proof that the purpose of a handgun is not for self-defense or hunting. Read that website and stick with hunting rifles or shotguns and be prepared for a grilling at the border. OR don't go to Canada.

This one has even more:
https://www.nraila.org/articles/20150101/guide-to-the-interstate-transportationIn most states, firearms may be transported legally if they are unloaded, cased, and locked in the automobile trunk or otherwise inaccessible to the driver or any passenger. The exceptions to this rule apply mainly to transportation of handguns and so-called “assault weapons.” The myriad and conflicting legal requirements for firearm transportation through the states make caution the key for travelers of which you must consult local law.
If you travel with a trailer or camper that is hauled by an automobile, it is advisable to transport the firearms unloaded, cased and locked in the trunk of the car. If your vehicle is of the type in which driving and living spaces are not separated, the problem becomes one of access. If the firearm is carried on or about the person, or placed in the camper where it is readily accessible to the driver or any passenger, state and local laws regarding concealed carrying of firearms may apply. It is recommended, therefore, that the firearm be transported unloaded, cased, and placed in a locked rear compartment of the camper or mobile home, where it is inaccessible to the driver or any passenger. -

I might read more from this website and a few other websites before deciding it's okay, but.....
I googled "can you carry a gun in your auto all 50 states"
It appears okay to lock up an unloaded gun while traveling. If you think you are unsafe where you plan to stop at night, look up specifics for that state either beforehand or when you get there as to whether you can load your gun while there at night. Personally, I would probably just load it at night whether it was allowed or not, as it's better to be alive and safe and in trouble over it rather than be dead.
I got this answer at "http://www.secondcalldefense.org/self-defense-news/traveling-your-gun-legally"
For the most part, Federal law is pretty straightforward. No federal permit is required. And the Firearms Owners' Protection Act (FOPA) shields you from local restrictions if you're transporting firearms for lawful purposes.
Under FOPA, notwithstanding any state or local law, a person is entitled to transport a firearm from any place where he or she may lawfully possess and carry such firearm to any other place where he or she may lawfully possess and carry it, if the firearm is unloaded and locked out of reach. In vehicles without a trunk, the unloaded firearm must be in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console. Ammunition that is either locked out of reach in the trunk or in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console is also covered.
Exceptions apply to those who are convicted felons; persons under indictment for felonies; adjudicated "mental defectives" or those who have been involuntarily committed to mental institutions; illegal drug users; illegal aliens and most nonimmigrant aliens; dishonorably discharged veterans; those who have renounced their U.S. citizenship; fugitives from justice; persons convicted of misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence; and persons subject to domestic violence restraining orders. -

What are the current rules about vaping from the GB?
by purrpurr ini mean e cigs and vaping.
not even tobacco inhaling but inhaling other stuff like herbs etc.
is this allowed?
-
OnTheWayOut
I doubt there is any new stuff in Watchtower Magazine about that, but ask any C.O. or wait for the magazine to address it, and I am sure it would say that it's a bad habit just like smoking and it could stumble others who assume you are sucking on tobacco and they would say NO! -

The Bible is NOT Error-Free
by FusionTheism infor many christians, the bible is viewed as the 100% error-free, perfect book straight from god, where every single word was carefully chosen by god for a reason.
but, usually, when you have a discussion on the topic, these christians will end up saying that only the original copies written directly from the hands of the prophets and apostles were error-free, and all manuscript copies since then are subject to copyist mistakes and other errors.. since zero original copies are in existence, how do we know the originals were error-free?
why should we think the originals should be error-free to begin with?
-
OnTheWayOut
Why would God make sure that the originals were 100% inerrant, but then not preserve the originals, and allow all future copies to contain errors?
I only read the opening post as the statement above is really all you need. So people feel that God only wanted the first person who "recorded" the words to get the message right and maybe a few others that read those particular originals (but not the other originals that were already poorly copied). Or else God wanted errors to creep in so that men were encouraged to dig deep and question every last thing in the Bible until they realized that this flood didn't happen and genetics proves that Adam and Eve didn't exist and archaeology proves errors in many of the writings and eventually we realize that God made us smarter by delivering fables/myths.

How can Jehovah glorify Jesus when he states emphatically that he gives glory to NO ONE else? Jesus answers, "I and my father are one."
Easy as pie. The Bible says things that are contradicting. End of story. The 4 gospels contradict each other. The Old and New Testament contradict each other. Parts of the Bible say things about the sins of the father being applied to further generations and other parts say it is not so.
You are just trying to use another contradiction in the Bible to say that the answer must be some complicated theory of men that isn't ever directly mentioned in the Bible. Even in the writings, Jesus never said "I am God." The answer is simple- at the time of writing, the men who made up these stories did not consider that Jesus was God himself, so the men who morphed the meaning of the fictions later didn't have enough solid writings to make their idea that "Jesus is God" a proven part of the writings.

Does this make me a terrible person
by Clambake inmy wife has a friend at her kh.
she is 37 and her friend is 88. i know it sounds kind of strange but they are both the wives of ubm so they kind of stick together.
my wife is very sincere in this friendship and this lady is a nice person.

I think it's fairly normal to think about the money, but it would be terrible according to your wife for her to carry through on your thought. There ya go. Let your wife be her friend with no souring of the friendship late in this woman's life.
If it were me, I would re-approach the wife and kindly suggest that she takes care of her family- (nephew and niece) and remind the woman that half of such a "small" amount doesn't go as far as you might think nowadays, but it could make a difference in their lives to have it.
In other words, I would hint that splitting it with the WTS wouldn't really be a good idea.
But if your wife wants to say nothing at all, that's really up to her. End of story.

we found that the amount of money flowing out will be much greater than the amount of money that we have coming in, at this time.
That's because they already took all the money and there is a small flow in to them that doesn't balance out with the cost of pedophile lawsuits/settlements.
Let me illustrate with totally made up numbers:
In order for the statement above to be true, that the "FLOW" out is greater than the "FLOW" in, they just have to know that they will have to pay 50 Million in settlements soon and that the monthly or yearly flow doesn't equal 50 million. That still allows them to ignore the cash grab of a Billion dollars they already made.
They are ignoring cash on hand and just looking at whether the pile of money they stole to pay for their own problems is going to get smaller or larger for a short while.
