What makes WT think they can reassign Bethel volunteers to be Regular Pioneers.
by Zoos inwhen the gb cuts loose 1600 volunteers, what makes them think they can continue telling them how they will spend their time?
i've read on many of these threads that the 1600 will be reassigned.
what, are they still under some sort of contract?.

Does Anyone Still Believe in God?
by LaurenM indo any of you ex-jw's still believe in god?
even with the new rebranding/softening of this religion, i still don't see how people can believe in him.
the god of the old testimate is an angry murderer who approved rapes and slavery and killed thousands of men, women and children.

I will say that I tend to agree with the opening post. The God of the Bible is horrible. And the Bible has thoroughly been debunked by those willing to actually look at the facts. So if people want to believe in a creator that doesn't reveal himself and doesn't have minions collecting money for him, then fine. But no thanks on my part. If any god is out there, he would know why I deserve a pass on worshipping him. -

A Bethelite that wants to live off of Mom and Dad and make Elder Dad look good will probably take the "pioneer" title and save face with the cover story about the urgency of the preaching work. Then he will maybe do token time and hang out at Starbucks but report full service time until they get a good job.
Whether the Bethelite does this or not, the important thing is that congregation members HEAR that this is what is happening -they are all being assigned pioneer positions. If one couple or individual is not pioneering, the locals will wonder what's wrong with them.
WTS really does not care...as already mentioned.

What those terrible worldly people are doing
by JeffT inyesterday there was a horrific crash on a bridge here in seattle.
a dukw (wwii amphibious truck) tourist cruise lost control and hit a charter bus full of exchange students head on.
four dead and about a dozen seriously wounded, many more in less critical condition.yesterday, canlis restaurant, located near the scene and one of the most exclusive eateries in seattle, closed for the first time in its 65 year history and sent out its staff with food for the first responders.

.....and the Watchtower told the local JW's to get those literature carts right up near all the action and for the local pioneers to have a full thermos of coffee as they sit there watching the worldly people "do something." -

E-Mail, Just recived. About Bethell adjustments.
by DwainBowman ini just read an email from a friend, and she shared some very interesting emails from her friends about information on changes now happening at the bethels around the world.
here is the email: .
---------------------------------thanks sally, jesus is directing the org and all decisions and instructions to us may not seem practical from now on, neither will we understand the reasonings behind many of the changes that the organization makes.

They did so well with telling potential members that if they study with Jehovah's Witnesses, they will be "persecuted" by family and friends. It was viewed as "prophetic." Virtually nobody noticed it was obvious that if you study with a cult, concerned loved ones will try to help you get away from that cult.
So they did it again with this: "At that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. ALL OF US MUST BE READY TO OBEY ANY INSTRUCTIONS WE MAY RECEIVE, WHETHER THESE APPEAR SOUND FROM A STRATEGIC OR HUMAN STANDPOINT OR NOT."
I can hear members now: "WOW, they were right on the money. Here's something just like they said. They must really have God's backing because that is so prophetic."
They might as well foretell that "one day soon, you may no longer have your Kingdom Hall and we may ask you to just watch jw .org and keep sending your money in.
Not all members will stay asleep for all these changes. Some will figure out that God's blessings are not on their financial arrangement.

It's 110% impossible to deny now: Video evidence of the Chile flags
by ILoveTTATT2 inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0auklk0uq8&feature=youtu.be.
this video leaves no doubt whatsoever.
the person who took the video got really close and the video clearly shows that the flag is behind the glass and behind the bars protecting the kingdom hall.

According to John Cedars' website,
Chile has a special two-day national celebration, known as Fiestas Patrias, on September 18th and 19th. On these two days, ALL public buildings are to display the national flag, either on a flag pole or otherwise adorning the front of the building. Any institutions that refuse to show the flag do so at the risk of paying a fine.
Though reportedly some congregations would rather pay the fine than display a national symbol on a building dedicated to worship, it seems not all the bodies of elders in Chile see it as a problem.
Some have suggested that the disparity has been caused by congregations being instructed by the branch that they can decide for themselves whether to show the flag or not, but that if they refuse to show it they will be liable themselves for paying any fine. This has yet to be verified. If it were in the U.S., they could tell the authorities that the building belongs to Watchtower. I don't know who owns the building in Chile.

My True Identity
by The Governor ini write under the screen name the governor.
why i chose this screen name was i felt strongly at the time (and still do) that the charterer itself from the walking dead tv series that is called the governor had a lot of qualities shared with the governing body.
both had narcissism blowing out of their ears, both oppressed individuals for their gain whether it was for power and profits and both the governing body and the governor were able to reel people into their trap by charming outsiders in and giving them big promises that could never be fulfilled.

HELLO. Seriously, despite your not being afraid, you might consider editing the congregations and just leave the city. There are creeps everywhere. While the main people here are not creeps, there are lurkers who are. But whether or not, a big hello. -

Did anyone learn the truth from having their prayers answered by a knock at the door and then eventually leave the JWs?
by truthseeker ini know of one person who had a difficult life, prayed for help, got the knock at the door, got baptized and eventually left the jws believing they were a cult.. has this happened to any of you?
and if so, did you still feel your prayers were answered at that time?.

I know of one person who had a difficult life, prayed for help, got the knock at the door, got baptized ....
I was exposed to the JW religion as a child, but my mother was disfellowshipped when I was just a kid (because the end of the world didn't come). She went back, I did not. I got into "a difficult life, prayed for help." That's a nice short version. (If you want the long one, let me know in a PM.)
It wasn't a knock on the door. Instead, my JW mother sent word through the organization that I was in a military hospital and two brothers called on me there.
We can jump to "....got baptized ...." I think the point you are focusing on is that this was supposedly an answer to my prayers, but your example and mine would contradict that answer by leaving the Witnesses.
......and eventually left the JWs believing they were a cult.
Has this happened to any of you? And if so, did you still feel your prayers were answered at that time?So I eventually figured out that Watchtower is a dangerous mind-control cult. It would be easy for me to say "There was no God involved in the first place, so no prayers answered at first nor later." But for the likes of Perry and others, let me say this:
I was primed for whatever the reality of God was, whatever the beliefs. If God was Allah or the deity of any Christian denomination or something outside of all religion, I was ready to follow His/Her/It's/Their path for me. I begged for God's intervention and enlightenment in my life. If God wanted me, I was ready. If God allowed me to be sucked into the Jehovah's Witnesses at such a point in my life, then he's a dirty dog. He's wasted my decades and I ain't going to waste them with Him anymore.
Of course, I know better. Psychology can fully explain what happened to me and science can amply demonstrate that man invented the gods. No gods involved.
