This guy could be doing a power play to show his wife that she's essentially powerless in this situation. Also, it could just be that he is saving the marriage from divorce by showing up. If the elders tell her they cannot prove guilt, she might just accept that.

Evidence for a Young Earth

The Vredefort crater in South Africa is the largest confirmed impact crater ever discovered on earth at nearly 200 miles across. It is estimated that the crater is over 2 billion years old.
If you use the young-earth model, and the massive asteroid plowed into the earth some time in the last 10,000 years, history most definitely would have recorded it, and we would still see the effects of its impact today on the life of the planet. It would have caused mass extinctions and life would not have yet come close to recovering.
So ignore evidence and say the scientists are wrong. It's just that simple to Perry. Maybe he will say that God created the world with the Vredefort crater already there and dozens of other large craters already in it, for no other reason than to make us think the earth had been hit by massive asteroids when in fact, it never was. It's a test of our faith that goes right along with seeing light from stars that would take millions and billions of years to arrive on earth. God must have made it look that way to make our scientists look stupid.
The age of our old earth has been calculated to fit the deceleration of the earth by tidal friction, the distance of the moon from the earth, the amount of dust on the moon, the dating of fossils. You cannot simply ignore the facts that don't fit your model.

While I know they will play the persecution card on this, I gotta side with Russia on this. They are an extremist group that preaches hate for outsiders. -

Died Due To Refusing Blood Transfusion
by rrb2016 inwell, last monday my mother, a jehovah's witness since her baptism in 1968 died last week because she would not accept a blood transfusion.
she was 76 and had lung and skin cancer.
i know that the cancer would have gotten her anyway, but she was bleeding internally, and was told that she needs a blood transfusion, as her blood count went all the way down to 3.2 (should be 12-14.

This is tragic. So so sorry for your loss. As some have said, she may have shortened her painful circumstances. But you have every right to be angry with Watchtower for taking her decisions on this away from her. -

Maybe in order to save Jehovah's Witnesses from themselves, they will try to say Prince is the new type of replacement anointed- free spirits who donate a bunch of money.
And if he was anointed, he's really still with us- guiding Geoffrey Jackson, Stephen Lett, and the bunch.

Wow... There More Closet Faders Than I Thought
by pale.emperor inyep, im still fading.
i know it's gonna be a long and meticulous process but so far it's going well.
isnt it funny how when you stop reading the material and stop thinking yourself of being unworthy all the time - eventually you get happier and happier each day and see the world around you the way it is?

Thanks for your thoughts. Happy trails on your fade. I would like to say that, in my fade, I expressed my doubts to some elders in order to be allowed to resign as an elder. You say you are not afraid to express doubts to concerned elders. I would say that once you have done that, it is not necessary to ever do it again. It just increases their desire to deal with a member judicially if they have more to say. -

Thanks for the short version of your life (so far). Yeah, it looks like you were baptized young. Feel free to share more, many will read it. As many or as few details as you like.
My mom is hardcore JW, so is my wife and many in her family. Your dad, it sounds like there's hope but don't feel that you have to keep pushing him to see the light. You've shown him, and will have many opportunities to say your thoughts here and there. Good luck.

E-books are lousy for the beach, but okay for the airport, airplane, hotel pool area. You really need printed books for the beach so you can leave it there to mark your spot.
Paperbacks are great and portable, but after 3 or 4 people read them, the spine is so broken and pages may fall out. Who wants to read a book where pages may have fallen out?
If you must bring an e-book on vacation, then bring some magazines for the beach. They have short articles and you don't care if they get ruined or lost. Plus they have pretty pictures. My favorite is National Geographic. Please leave the boobs mag. at the hotel and stare at the live boobs on the beach.

Prince and addictive drugsā¦a possible loophole?
by Londo111 inaccording to the elder's rulebook, there is this addendum in the chapter on the grounds for judicial committee and the section: "misuse of addictive drugs":.
please note: the use of addictive drugs under medical supervision, such as for pain management, would not necessarily require judicial review.
when questions arise, consult with the branch office.. .

Londo111, I take over the recommended amount of ALEVE for gout and it typically makes it go away before it gets bad. JW elders do not need to know about any prescribed meds their members are on. It's a violation of health information privacy. It doesn't matter whether those meds are addictive or not.
As far as illegal drugs, I doubt members would tell the elders.
