Got my JC cancelled... (at least for now)
by Sanchy inso my wife and i have been in the process of fading for a few months now as per my original post here.
about a week ago, i was browsing some ex-jw facebook groups when i saw a post that linked to the crisis of conscience book.
i said "f@(k it" and hit share on it.. a few hours later, i get a long text letter from my mom (who was a fb friend of mine) telling me the typical "good luck finding friends in the world" and how we have "nothing in common anymore"; basically, it was a 'farewell' text.

When you said "F*ck it!" and posted CoC link, you knew there would be trouble.
I see a game going on here. Play with fire and you get burned.
It's too late to lie and say "It wasn't me." Just kiss their asses and say "I was intrigued by discovering that book. Now I know it's wrong. I pulled the link. (Do so right now if not already done.) Should I give you a rim job while kissing your asses?" Then know that you pulled the wool over their eyes enough to continue your fade.
Get a fake name for a facebook account for your non-JW life or don't have a facebook non-JW life.

Jehovah's Witnesses: the Brotherhood of Delusion
by TerryWalstrom ini am a curious person.
i am challenged by the unknown.
i can be driven, out of sheer frustration, to penetrate a closed veil of conspiracy.

I got lost when I was sidetracked by the word "titillation."
This is where my mind goes at that point: -

The Edgar Chronicles (My encounters with a crow)
by TerryWalstrom inorigins and prelude (edgar chronicles).
for the last several days, there has been some kind of black bird strutting about on the starbucks patio searching for crumbs.. .
i don't particularly get along with these birds.

I have always gone through life apologizing when I was wrong.
Terry did not "ask" for money when he left his bike unlocked. He accepted money from others when he left his bike unlocked.
I am sorry I misspoke. -

Continuum of an Exit
by zarco ina few random thoughts about my continuum.
did your exit follow this process?
doubts – this is tough phase because the mind begins and then continues to prove to itself through logic and facts that the “truth ain’t the truth”.

OnTheWayOut
Just as the stages of grief are not exactly what everyone goes through, neither are there exact stages of JW exit. I never went through your resistance phase or mini-rebellion stage. My rebellion stage as a fader was well after fading.
I would love to be an ex-ex-JW, but have my mother and wife still in the religion. I have many reasons to stay connected to the ex-JW community.

Who loves bikes?
by JRK inwhat was the most fun ride you've ever had?.
my personal favorite was my ducati paso 750. it may have been before a few of your times, but it was an italian rocket that totally blew away anything from japan.. .

I never owned a motorcycle, but have a bicycle. I am sure the motorized one is more fun, but I just never had one. Bicycles must be pretty fun too, because they are stolen left and right. I have multiple locks and never leave mine unlocked except while riding it.

There is science that prove God exists
by HopeEverLasting injehovahs witnesses think that just the bible is proof that god exists but they are wrong.
there is another mode for how he exists.
now we all know many scientists who are creationists now weren’t creationists until they examined the evidence for themselves.

OnTheWayOut Back up a bit. So science can say that what caused the formation was always there but I can't say God has always been there? Maybe God created God. You never know.
No. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. You cannot say that science doesn't have an answer then you don't have an answer. Or your answer can apply to the mass/energy of the universe without God's existence.
I know it's useless arguing with you. You just know, you just accept the myth, you just refuse to ponder other possibilities.

You hang out at Starbucks but have asked in the past for help paying for your bike. ??????
You could make coffee at home. Don't get me wrong. I love Starbucks, but I pay for my bike.At least you brought your own sandwich.

Why disbelieving in God is foolish
by HopeEverLasting inlook, now before i speak, i want to say that it is very okay for someone to not believe.
are they hurting anyone?
killing anyone?
-
OnTheWayOut
Let me paraphrase:
"Look, now before I speak, I want to say that it is very okay for someone to not believe, but I will call you names and say that you are haters.. Are they hurting anyone? No. Killing anyone? No. But I will say that what you believe is just foolish and as I hate on you, I will accuse you of hating on me. You are dumb if you think logic and reason will have any influence over my blind belief. I will continue to attack your logic and reason and any beliefs that don't fit mine, but continue to say that I'm sorry that you all like to attack others beliefs because they don't fit your own. Basically, I am a huge hypocrite." -

OnTheWayOut
OnTheWayOut Science cannot and I repeat cannot explain what caused the formation in the first place. It can only attempt to explain the how but not what triggered the trigger.
Incorrect. You cannot accept current explanations. To be fair, there were many things that science could not explain at one time, but now it can. "The Beginning" will eventually be well understood.
Regardless, belief does no better. What triggered the existence of God (and remember saying that "He just always was there" is not a complete answer unless you can explain that)?
