If you want me to insult your intelligence I will, because I'm accommodating like that, but meanwhile you still evidently don't understand the meaning of the theological term "depravity" as used, so kindly get off your high horse.
I believe that the issue originally was whether Athiesm and Evolution is dangerous. It was introduced behind the veil of a question, when we all know it was not a genuine question on Perry's part. It was a way for him to more gently state his opinion that any who are not people of a 'Godly' nature are a danger to themselves, that they are deluding themselves by thinking they can serve as their own moral compass.
Emotions are bound to run high on a highly controversial topic such as this. Little Toe, I have always found your posts interesting and well thought out. However, I would just caution you that while you appear to be extremely self-confident in your intelligence (judging by the above-quoted statement), it's wise to temper your intelligence with a little humility and entertain the idea that maybe you are the one who 'doesn't get' what someone else is trying to say. Just a thought.

His music sounds like gospel to me.
How much of his music have you actually heard? The only song I can possibly one could construe "gospel" sound is "You Raise Me Up". While, yes, some copy cats have taken this song and put religious meaning into it, Josh's song doesn't have that particular meaning. He does a lot of music in foreign languages, mostly Italian, but also a lot in English. His type of music is difficult to classify. It's not Opera or pop music. You just have to listen to it to understand.
If it's not your kind of music, I respect that. I just had to address the "gospel" comment.

The album you have is "Closer". It's his 2nd album, and it's awesome! When you have the money, get his very 1st album, self-titled "Josh Groban" in the special CD/DVD version. It has a DVD of his live performance for a PBS special. His most recent album, Awake, is awesome as well. It's a little different than his first two, but great just the same.
This year I was able to score us some tickets to the Raliegh, NC concert next month. Floor seats only 2 sections back.

He's most known for his song "You Raise Me Up". It's a great song, but in my opinion, there are MANY other songs he does for which he receives little attention for that are amazingly well done, often in foreign languages. He has three main albums out. Self titled "Josh Groban", "Closer", and his most recent "Awake". I highly recommend all of them.

He also did a duet once with Barbara Streisand. It's on one of her albums of duets she did with lots of different singers. Their voices also sound awesome together. That song is called "All I Know of Love". Love the duet with Charlotte Church, too!

i woke up to my kids all sick, a letter in the mailbox (put there sneakily sometime early this morning) saying that we should 'return to serve jehovah and become one of the family again' (cannot understand the association of meeting attendance = being part of a family.
