over at freeminds we didn't want this day to pass without some recognition of the life and death of ray franz.
in view of his stated wishes not to have a memorial or service we hoped for something that he would have liked for all of us to take a moment over.. .
we owe a note of thanks to v for his graphics work and atjeff for the obituary writing - i know neither of them need mentioned by me.. .
Thank you for that. I shared it on my Facebook profile. Ray helped me to understand how so many are duped, and he cleared up so many things.
He was a great man, and I would have loved to have met him. He was a father figure of note! (As my own JW elder, father dissapointed me) I will always be grateful for his courage to stand for his convictions, and his conscience.
Rest in peace Ray, you are a legend!

i was reading a local newspaper that did a survey with regards to whether men prefer a hot body or a hot face.
men where shown a variety of pics of women with hot bodies, plain or not so pretty faces.
and then hot faces and normal to not so wonderful bodies.
Face....but then Mrs Smiths legs/body....... got me first. She was the whaole package!!
Still, I pick face.

Mine Works... The flag does not make me feel patriotic, neither the anthem. Its still the JW hangover maybe.
But I respect it much more, because its important to some people. Just look at the outcry when the anthem gets butchered by some twit that cannot sing.
South Africe had to endure a fool mangling it at the recent France / SA rugby match. I don't know the anthem well, but I know that it should be treated with respect. Rosanne Barr did that to the star spangled banner, so I have heard.
I don't mind wearing a flag on my clothing, (like a pin). An absolute no-no for our brothers and sisters still trapped inside....

I am with KidKool on this one. The 'scales' have come off and besides seeing the truth about the "TRUTH", my BS detector is now super sensitive.
