Not taking a vacation from the 'Truth'! My parents took us to KH wherever we were on holiday. My watchtower was prepared while relaxing in the tent for goodness sake. Yup, fun times.....NOT!

The trinity is a big issue for me as well. However it is not as ' bent' a thought as it may appear. I asked a minister at the local Methodist church to explain it. Mostly I read as much as possible about it.
My understanding is this. You are born and love your parents. (1) ,You are a child. You grow up, marry, you are (2)a husband/wife. You have children, you are a (3) parent. You are 3 things now. Child,(parents still alive), Husband or wife, and a parent. Still one person. However we show our love differently in each situation.
Maybe God 'shows' or explains himself to us in a form we can understand. Just happens to be three ways he uses. Am I off the mark here?

lol, the smurfs had a birthday! Did not know that. I remember when we were told that these little blue fiends are evil incarnate! My sister and I thought it was rediculous. My sister even had a few of these things. ( maybe she still has.......)
We hid them away from my father, who, as an elder was compelled to destroy my Queen albums just a few months prior to this smurfy revelation. Good thing he did not find my Pink Floyd and AC/DC tapes, just kidding. NO WAYS did I get AC/DC into the house! The smurfs would have blown the whistle on me!

in this verse there is a fluent sweetness to the eyes of the ones seeking gods love and a sharp bite to those who lose love and become a mere student of words offering up argumentations of men from their doctrines.
it has exceptional applicability in numerous situations, possibly even to people who keep trying to offer you extra biblical literature.

God's word does not change. I believe it is inspired, yes. I feel there are books missing, thanks to Constantine and his meddling with it. However, what we have left should be solid enough to have commentaries that make sense, and does not contradict itself.
For example all the books from Russell's time to present. If we reproduce what was written by the WTS a few decades ago, the JW's will rock in horror and claim 'They had it wrong. The light grew brighter!' Those books would be, and are tiring.

I was once told that, just as this old world is 'panting on towrds the end', we will grow tired as well. This is the time redouble our efforts!!
Well, keeping your nose to the grindstone, just wears your nose away!
So many prophecies, so many promises, with such conviction from the GB and WTS, they probably believed it themselves.
Strange how I ran my legs off while in the 'truth'. So busy, with preperation for meetings, the meeting itself, field service, studies with 'interested' ones. Then we still had to do a bible study with our children. Be employed and provide for the family, somewhere in all that you still need to travel back and forth to all these meetings, and have personal' study time. Eat and sleep still needs a spot too.
No time to think, to absorb what you learn, to be quiet before God.
Now I have time to think. Read the bible and contemplate it's meaning to my life without rushing somewhere to be told what to think. Much better this way. I pray that my friends and family will 'see' the truth soon.
