  Should the US Comander and Chief be Under the Same Law as the Citizens?

  ok what do you think should the prez or comander & chief of the us be under the same accountability as the citizen of his country?

  or should a higher standard be applied?.

  if it were true would that not stop alot of us bombing of other countries?

  I think you all need to recognize that pissing you off does not constitute breaking any laws.

  Look in the mirror what was Clinton's impeachment other than Republicans pissed they couldn't find anything better to impeach him.

  personally, i think it's not our job to make sure aid is provided for humanitarian needs.

  if the government refuses the help, why should we force aid?

  Yes, they do have oil. Which is why they don't want the US or the UN ( a puppet of the US ) in their country. Or for that matter any aid with catches attached which the US is known to add after the fact.

  first of all i do not want to turn this into an american bashing thread, that is not my intention at all.. i would like to hear americans opinions as to what my thirteen year old son asked me tonight.. on the way back from swimming tonight my two sons (13 and 11) and myself started talking about wars.

  my 11 year old was the first to bring it up talking about wwi & ww2.

  we had an interesting conversation about it, then the subject got onto nuclear bombs.

  It's no fun to play alone either, so if you don't have enemies, well you create some. It's like playing cowboys and indians, you never play alone and the indians never win, and if cowboy (US) is hurt, OMG, now you're in for it. The US is like this big bully, that when he scatches his knee playing you realize he's the biggest cry baby of all.

  I dread the day here soon when the Soviets Russians start to get their superpowerdom back and the US is a second rate power under Red Chinese control.

  Yes, that is why impeachment exists. Also when Bush's term is through he will have a date in the Hague if should decide to go to Europe or Asia.

  Also let's add to the discussion the fact that Japan was isolationist up until a certain country forced trade down their throats. Guess which one? So who fault was it that Japan industrialized and was able to get to the point it could attack the US and China.

  The intelligence field this is called blow back.

  Bombings and imperialism is necessary for the survival of the US. Has to be top dog or wind up with scraps.

  Then explain modern Europe. They aren't eating scraps in fact it's more and more the US is eating their's. Despite the fact they aren't imperialistic.

  5go I suppose the millions of Chinese that the Japanese slaughtered were because of America too. How about the 20 million that Stalin killed....or the 55,000,000 during WWII ...are we responsible for that as well?.....and you've got people on here whining about infrastructure? WTF

  Pretty much the US didn't care who won as long as they bought weapons, oil, and steel. Same with Stalin, and Hitler only when the Japanese finally attacked and the Germans bit off more than they could chew did the US get in to WW2 on the allies side. Even then there was a call in the public to just attack Japan and not get involved in another war in Europe.

  What agreement? When did we agree to let them have China?

  Up until Pearl Harbor the US was playing both sides. They were secretly aiding China while selling oil to Japan. When Japan started winning the US stopped supplying oil to even the field up. The Japanese took this to mean the US was going to come to China's aid after all.

  Oh yes 5go, America forced Japan into WWII and what else.... America forced Iraq to invade Kuwait? Time for some sleep. Thanks for the education.

  What do you think was the motive behind pearl harbor the Japanese were just evil, nope. They were pissed that the US wasn't honoring their agreement and thought that the US was about to hit them. So they did a, should I say it.... preemptive strike, Sound familiar? To stop it from happening, BTW their words not mine.

  The only people that can't seem to differentiate between the America of WWII and Iraq is the JWD whine brigade

  Ironic whining about whiners.

  The kid ask why does the US bomb everyone?

  The US has oil interests which also in bit of irony the US used to help start it's involvement in ww2 by refusing to honor an oil supply agreement with Japan. Which forced Japan's hand and pushed them to war with the US.

  (BTW the US was perfectly happy to supply the Nazi's with oil and steel while they were waiting for a side to start losing all this while Jews were knowingly being slaughtered see Geoge W. Bush's grand dad's wartime conviction for the details)
