Armed people win every day against armed hoodlums. It doesnt make good news copy.
Nor, does the opposite.
usa today everyone has a gun, why?.....to protect themselves...from who?
other folks with guns!.....yes it's in your laws...but they were written when the british ruled you.
one school gun killing every week does not happen anywhere else in the world....maybe you need more guns to protect your kids.....one in the lunchbox.....does anyone else see this.

Most criminals wont obtain a "infamous .50 BMG sniper rifle". At $3500 (or more) per copy and ammo that runs over $5 a round not many 'bangers are into Barrett- style rifles. Making that 'mile shot' ...
Criminals most likely would not buy their guns seeing as stealing them is much cheaper, and cost effective way to do criminal activities. A gun shop near wear I used to live was robbed. That happens all the time, and goes unreported in the news 9 time out of 10. They didn't walk off with a Barret .50 rifle but several rifles and hand guns that would do plenty of damage in the right hands.

Just to be clear, are you saying that (1) you do not believe the 2nd Amendment applies to individuals and (2) the Court will make a decision allowing firearms to be taken from law-abiding individuals?
Do you believe felons should have the right to a gun? Do you believe a individual should be allowed to own his own personal nuclear device? If no, then you do not believe the second amendment protects your personal right to bear arms either. Felons retain all constitutional rights if the right to personal arms is true then no law may abridge that right. Personal bombs are firearms yet no one thinks that it is a right to have them, not even the most avid of gun rights nut. If you do, you are very stupid to say the least. It would mean felons, the criminals you seek protection with your firearms from may get any firearm they so choose to perpetrate their evil deeds against you including the infamous 50.BMG sniper rifle that can kill you from a mile away with ease. Also it would be impossible to stop nuclear terrorism do to the fact it is a right to posses the bomb.

Nope, in fact the supreme court did a good job of pointing out why it's not a right in their decision,
Gun ownership is a privilege, not a right much like a drivers licence. Abuse your privilege, and it will be taken away. The recent Heller ruling reafirmed this view for the most part.

What about the Heller decision? Do you agree with it? If not, do you think a future Supreme Court ruling in our lifetime will reverse the Court's decision (Heller) position that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms?

Nope, in fact the supreme court did a good job of pointing out why it's not a right in their decision, when they refused to address felons right to carry and limit on what firearms you may posses. They pretty much gave a wide open berth to a future if not the same court over turning their ruling.
The founding fathers had no problem wording the freedoms of speech, press, right of assembly, right of petition and addressment of grievances in the first amendment to then turn around and right a cryptic right to carry in the second. It is pretty much worded to say anyone (white man) may join a militia and fight armed, and well regulated.

You can be one of three things: Sheep, Sheepdog or Wolf.
Sorry, but that would be over simplifying a complex issue.
There are sheep that like to think they are sheepdogs. (which honestly need psycotherapy and to be kept away from guns) and Then at times there are some of those sheep that act more wolves in sheeps clothing than anything close to a real sheepdog. Then you also have the added complication of having a sheepdog (other sheep) that looks like a wolf and the sheep that thinks he is a sheepdog shoots the sheepdog (other sheep) by mistake.

Tell me how would the average concealed gun licensee would have fared in this situation?
Burn obfuscating to statistics when a direct question about a real world event where trained and body armored police response had a hard time with dealing with the concealed gun carriers ultimate hypothetical dream situation is sadly not very shocking.
If the better trained police are having a hard time with something, I sure as hell don't want some wannabe(s) dealing with it at all. In fact I would like to know only the police and the perps have the guns. So a situation doesn't turn into a three, four, or five way battle and more people end up shot than there needs to be.
theism in its various forms has been since the beginning subjected to psychological analysis and treated as a phenomenon of the human mind.
perhaps it is time to turn the lens and examine the psychological reasons for atheism as well.
this approach should be especially inoffensive to many atheists/materialists since in their worldview, all phenomena are reducible to natural causes.
science opens it and gives understanding and helps to nourishes further knowledge.
Science is open to a belief in god(s) you just have to prove it with a testable theory, or some recordable phenomenon.

How the fuck do cops stop criminals?
I will refer to a british case where several officers were killed by an american who smuggled a gun into the UK. They caught him with investigative skills and Intel that caught him flat footed at his hotel room after he had fled across the country. He registered under a fake name at a hotel and the police caught him fast through a program that americans would cringe at if it was over here.
Seeing as I have brought up the UK my cousin's girl friend was starting to be panicked the other day at several knifings in the big city near by. She is trying to move to the US, so my cousin joked "knifings are the least of your worries in the US".
Heck, the small town I live in has shootings every now and then.
