i know anyone who believes in evolution is going to say that there is no 'if' about it.
however.... if man evolved over hundreds of thousands of years ago, why were there only about 200-300 million people alive 2,000 years ago?
surely there'd have been many billions by then?.

Simple it has to do with the evolution of the Human brain and the Human Female pelvis bone. It short the birth canal at some point in our evolution reached it's max size but the brain didn't. So in order to allow a babie to pass threw the birth canal humans had to evolve the ability to have premature babies safely.
i'm sure that most have heard the story of deng xiaoping, who became chairman of china after the death of mao zedong.
during the cultural revolution deng had been imprisoned, accused of being a 'capitalist-roader' (i.e.
someone who favoured capitalism), during the long struggle to work out what sort of economic system would suit the new china.
I find it funny that in China there is a underground movement of youths that want to go back to the old ways under Chairman Mao and get rid of capitalism (mainly the rich who have benefitted at the cost of the poor) it's even started a fashion movement. Ironic for a communist country to have a second communist revolution in the making.

Your wisdom teeth and apendix are evidence that you evolved. If you didn't why did god give you them?
To add on to this assuming you give one of those lame excuses my favorite being maybe we have figured their use yet or we are damaged blah blah.
The wisdom teeth do have a use but as our brains got bigger and our diet change they became hidden as they aren't needed anymore. Same goes for the appendix it has a use we know what it was for mainly we had a diet of harsher vegitation at one time. We out grew it or evolved to a point we don't need it now. Question though if god has a hand in this why didn't he get rid of it? It's has killed many and will kill yet it serves no to humanly purpose anymore.
i need some help fleshing out an illustration that explains how people can be biased but still reach honest conclusions.
i had jws claim that "evolutionists" are biased towards evolution.
if they were biased towards something else they'd reach different conclusions.
I still can get my head around how the GOP can still deny global warming. It has pretty devolved to a flat earth argument.
"See the earth is flat, look out any window."
"See it's still cold during winter that proves global warming is a hoax."
Never mind most of the US is rapidly turning into a desert and we are hitting record highs and record high lows almost weekly.
i rarely watch fox news.
but i do read the drudge report every day.

i want to purchase a couple of vintage watchtower publications to help in my helping jw's break free.
some of the older ones are expensive or hard to come by - i know you can buy them on cd's but i'd like to own one or two of the "classics of propaganda"- some of the ones that speak for themselves as to the ridiculousness of this religion.. of course any magazine i pick up today speaks to me of the ridiculousness, but you need something much more hardcore for the jw's.. any recommendations?.

The children on the cover managed to attain a mature minor descision and refused medical treatment on religious grounds. They most likely refused a needed blood product as this was before the blood fraction clearification in 2000. So they were basically needless deaths even by JW standards.

What is the most damning watchtower? The one with child sacrafices martyrs on the cover.
i got to thinking today & you know what i think the single biggest issue effecting apostates are.
its they cannot unite and this is what gives the watchtower the upper hand.
what needs to happen (and quite honestly i don't think it will)they all have to come under one common body.
The biggest issue we face is letting them define us. Just walk away and define yourself. If you stay bitter and protest you are giving them the ammo they need to keep the faithful going and they win the war of over their minds. If you move on and are happy, with no intent on returning they lose the ammo that keeps the faithful going and in turn lose the war of over their minds.

Yes as a human being I fear death and the unknown. Quite normal.
i called an old friend of mine the other day who is an ex-jws and now a devout born again christian.
i was just calling him to say hello because it has been about a year since we last talked and before i could say "hi carl" every other word was "jesus"" jesus" "jesus" "jesus".
i could not get in a word edge wise without him blasting me with "jesus this" and "jesus that".
Without reading anything you said I can some it up with "It's against their religion to talk about anything else, no really!"
