They are not imprisoned for their religous beliefs they are in prison for failure to serve in the army as required by law, huge diffence. They believe they don't have to serve because their religion tells them they don't, and the Korean government disagrees with that.

5go - GZ had every right to walk his neighborhood. The first illegal act was when TM punched GZ ti the ground.
Sorry he disobeyed 911 instructions that was leave and wait for police to show up. Look at this from another perspective GZ disbey third party has a gun kills GZ and runs, instant cold case. Happens all the time here in the states. Now let's use a third party someone that lived on the street and GZ confronts him thinking he was TM and this event happens to him. Same outcome? Yes, if he was young and black but No, if he was old and white GZ would have needle in his arm already.
It's about race an that is it plain and simple.

Simon, I disagree TM was being followed (stalked) by ZM illegally (he was directed to stop by 911 a crime BTW) and had a right to stand his ground and use lethal force. Sadly he didn't have a gun, and ZM did. BTW if I was TM I would of done the same thing only I would had a gun and there would only be a shot fired call to 911 that night by me.

Friend gets "scriptural divorce" over wifes transgressions before they got married...
by sosoconfused inso i have a friend in a congregation in new jersey who recently called me to tell me that he got a divorce.
nothing surprising there at first but it is the fact of when it happened.
his wife began pioneering april 1, and after about three weeks she came to him and told him that about 4 years she had engaged in loose conduct (fondling the penis and the guy kissing her breasts) during a time that she was inactive.

I am willing to bet that this is the society trying very hard to get out of the corner they painted themselves into with the scriptual divorce rule. Too many people are miserably single or married because of it, and are taking things into there own hands to remedy it.

Blood Ban Witch Hunt in Progress
by 5go ini have had my own power of attorney drawn up and sent to my non jw family to void out my old card.
but now the society is pretty much forcing the issue on everyone with the emergency contact information (witchhunt) gathering drive every year and basically not taking a no for an answer fill it ot or get pulled in back.
well i am giving them the big fu this time i filling their card out but listng my non jw family on it as the contact and then filling yet another power of attornty to void out their stupid card again..

It's Texas I can but trust me they aren't doing anything illegal just hounding as to why they have given them a copy of it what a hinting very hard "What are you hiding brother?". Knowing them they will at some point have enough of it and call me in the back and do a quick choice relent (I can tell you I have been through it a couple of time on various things) and it goes no futher or JC and DF pretty much on the spot. I have never opted for DF but if they inquire in harder as to why I won't show them my older one I will. My story as of now will I lost it at my job Friday which of course force my hand as they will point out if they had a copy well blah blah blah and they need one.
