Recently we had a brother die from refusing a surgery the insurance company the VA ( yep vetaran affairs) said blood or no surgery. He died of cancer rather than get the surgery.

The Watchtower and Conditional Morality
by Stephanus ini was thinking about the conditional nature of "love" in the 'tower, when i realised that "conditionality" is pretty well the nature of the beast.
hence "conditional morality".
for example, the rules on lying: that witholding the truth from undeserving ones is not wrong.. what other examples are there?.

What I have found lately is that as long as you go to the hall you can do whatever your concious will allow. One of my few remaining friends told me he didn't know if he should hang out with me since I dont go to the hall. Meanwhile another friend of his who is a MS and is known to get in fight's with other 'brother's' over girls is good to hang out with since he goes to the hall.
Going to the hall now seems to be the sole moral compass for JW's (see last weeks WT study)
Don't forget turning in atleast nine point whatever hours a month. yeah it is basicaly as long as you appear to believe they don't care. Fights fist or word ?

they had this program on the other day, on the ten biggest threats to mankind and the planet earth.
surprisingly, none of the items on the list were god destroying mankind or the earth, so that must be further evidence that the witnesses were wrong, go to college now and retire.

My suicide attempt yesterday...
by Gregor injust when you think life could not possibly kick you in the teeth any worse something like james browns passing blind sides you.
after listening to "i feel good" several times, including a half hearted attempt to dance to it, i swallowed an entire package of m&ms and drank a half pint of brandy.
fortunately my wife found me in time and forced me to drink a scotch and soda.

What is the societies cut on bethel tours ?

I am not talking about the actual tour it's a donation. but a company that gets you there and takes to other places.( you know the places you really wanted to go to but now you can say you went to bethel )

I have notice that in my hall. There are plenty of people in my book study on paper but only five show up. Including the one brother that lives there.
