  christians, they love to talk about how loving, dutiful and compassionate they are, yet i have yet to meet one who does not practice hypocrisy to the highest degree.

  their willful ignorance of the bible combined with their two faced idealism to preach it, has made us sick, hasnt it?

  There are a few things I'm not dead certain about so I have a couple of questions:

  When you say Science vs Religion, what type of Science are you talking about? Is it Chemistry vs Religion or Physics vs Religion, or is it another Science?

  What is Science?

  What is the Scientific Method?

  Science is a religion that puts it's faith in facts and evidence not a god(s) or leader(s).

  The Muslim world fell in love with Aristotle and then turned their collective back on the advancement logical thought could bring to their people. The contrast between Arabs as a people and a nation (and religion) and the logical, scientific world of technology is striking. They are largely a dependant Stone-Age people clinging to Theology and societal backwardness through gritted teeth. They seek through radicals to obliterate the proof of their own failure and backwardness by destroying the symbols of Western Scientific Prowess by blowing things ups (including their own most devout devotees.)

  You failed world history didn't you. If it wasn't for the moorish muslims in spain we wouldn't have our understanding of science and technolgy that we do or our university systems. There are diffrent type of muslims besides arabs.

  ok, here's something i noticed when i was in the book study this week, related to the "seven time" prophecy, the verses are daniel 4:19-32.

  related to the interpretation of nebuchadnezzar's dream, daniel wish the dream to apply to those who hate nebuchadnezzar and the interpretation, to his adversaries.

  verse 22 says explicitly that the big tree is him, nebuchadnezzar.

  What really gets me is that god said davids line would never end. Well it did with his grandson. Which throws this more off because it wasn't till several hundred years later the the kingdom of judah ( Not Israel which ceased and split under his grandson's poor governence ) it's self under a new dynasty finaly ended.

  We live three lives.

  Professional

  Familial

  Personal

  Not just a double life.

  I wish I onlylived three lives though I estimate I have probaly six. The above plus Imaginary (Insanity) Hobby ( the one I love really more or less a part of the insane one ) Religious ( Jdub hell life )

  I hate to burst your bubble, but if it wasn't for muslim scholars studing their religion we wouldn't have science they came up with the idea of peer review which is what science is. They chose that rather than a pope like person decreeing beliefs.

  something came to me whilst i was cleaning this morning.

  i was thinking about the jw tradition of disfellowshipping those who seek a 'worldly divorce' .

  I remember several couples from prominent JW families, children of elders, whose marriages fell apart. There was never any announcement of anyone being DF'd. They would move to a different area and we'd hear nothing about them for a couple of years until they eventually moved back with a new JW spouse. Raising a question about the "status" of these people got me counselled a few times. I'm convinced there are completely different sets of rules for members of popular, prominent JW families.

  Ditto except for the consel part. I shut my mouth and waited cuase I knew jehoober would fix it of course. Something did happen most of them got divorced and remarried again. Then I started to rethink especialy when one of these elders sons found his expioneer wife stripping and a caboret in the city. Quess how ? Nothing happened to him other than maybe private consel. He doesn't come to meetings anymore though and his parent moved out in shame. To go elder and elderette in a new cong.
