From my experience buy a used one from a Game-Stop or used game store. They usually give a guarantee over Microsoft's worthless one. Give up on that one though, he sold it because he fixed long enough to get rid of it. Never buy a 360 from a private seller it's a dud more often than not.

XBox 360
by cruzanheart inwe bought a supposedly new xbox 360 for jackson, our 12-year-old, for christmas.
a couple of weeks ago it got the dreaded three red rings of death (akin to a computer's blue screen of death) so we called microsoft.
they assured us that the serial number of that xbox showed a warranty good for another year so we sent it in for service.

Pathological President defends Iraq War
by nvrgnbk inbush defends iraq war in speech by steven lee myerspublished: march 20, 2008washington president bush used the fifth anniversary of the start of the war in iraq on wednesday to make the case for persevering in a conflict that could have many more anniversaries.
democrats accused him of lacking a strategy to win and withdraw.. mr. bush, speaking before members of the armed forces and defense officials at the pentagon, said in his frankest acknowledgment yet that the costs of the war, in lives and money, had been higher and longer lasting than he had anticipated.
but he remained unwavering in his insistence that the invasion of iraq, which began in march 2003, had made the world better and the united states safer.. "five years into this battle, there is an understandable debate over whether the war was worth fighting, whether the fight is worth winning, and whether we can win it," he said.

if he is right he is right. I think it would have been an easier road than to build a democracy by gluing together the three groups in a democracy. That kind of thing usually requires a striongman ala Saddam. But still. If it works out it will be badass.

OK the problem is the Iraqi people have picked one (Al Sadr) and the powers that be don't like him. Much for the same reason they don't like the iotolas of Iran.

Remember folks Bush said "mission accomplished". Therefore the mission is accomplished, let us therefore say we have won and leave Iraq already.

Apply PHILOSOPHY to the argument of the TRINITY
by Terry inthe trinity doctrine is a conceptual classification.
it is not a thing itself.
we don't bump into a trinity in everyday life.

Terry, you are arguing with immoral polytheists still in denial. Nothing good can come from that.
BTW I say immoral because there is a morality that is in the bible that doesn't have to be obeyed for one reason or another. While they then apply that moral compass to others who aren't even christian most of the time. And, polytheist because the trinity is polytheism in concept except when it comes to christianity do to the fact that most Christians feel polytheism aka paganism is wrong.
If they can't admit to seeing a glaring conflict in their belief system. Then there is little hope that they might see your reason or admit it is good. It's much like a witness that can't see anything wrong with any of the WT beliefs. They for the most part do see them, but they have that process going that forbids them from ever admitting they see them. Notice trinitarian tend to use tricks similar to the WT to hide the fact that the trinity is indefensible. That is. you can't understand it now, have faith god will show later, it's something only god can really know, or god told you to believe it so believe it or else you will suffer. You know the same old weak arguments that people grasping at straws use to bolster their poor arguments.

McLellan book & the GOP reaction...chance to wake up JWs?
by sir82 indon't want this thread to turn political, but.... have you noticed that just about every administration response to scott mclellan's new book attacks the messenger?
"he's disgruntled"..."it's not like him"..."we're disappointed he chose to do this"....etc.
not one word (that i have seen or heard) disputing the actual contents of the book.. sound familiar?

If this was a Muslim compound they would of all been executed by now. I say this because they are living a semitic life style much like Muslims in the middle east do IE marry young wives flaunting laws in the name of god. Yet Muslims are barbaric and Christians doing the same thing are protected by religious freedom, and patriots.
Why isn't the christian community denouncing this radical sect? Where is the out cry?

It's been done before and it could have been done now. It still can. That's all I'm saying. I still maintain that, even though it will take decades to integrate new technology, new energy into our infrastructure, it can be done. But the longer we wait to work on solving those technologies, the longer and more expensive it will be, for the average consumer.
That is why I keep getting on those that talking crap about Jimmy Carter. He was the last true leader the US had as a president. If they people of the US would of followed his lead. We wouldn't be in this predicament and fighting in another Vietnam style war. But no the US didn't want that, it wanted what Reagan and the NeoCons offered. Which was cheap energy forever via taking it militarily from lesser countries. While at the same time running up huge debts. Now the US is paying for it's idiocy, and has no one else to blame but themselves.

It isn't a bubble, cheap oil is over for good. The refinery I am at is expanding to refine tar sands from Canada. Which wasn't a profitable source of oil up until recently. That is how desperate it is getting to find more viable oil reserves. Areas that were known to have oil but were consider not profitable to exploit before are now being looked at as profitable.

5 GO- Well, if drilling for more oil is not the answer - then we will be forced to go to alternative fuel sources. But do you think the oil companies will allow that to happen - without kicking and screaming about lost profits ? I doubt that very much. The oil companies will do anything and everything to prevent us from going to alternate energy and fuel sources.
What are you talking about Big Oil is behind the new nukes and hydrogen fell cell movements. They know the oil age is ending and they have picked their horses for the next race.
